Campbell to be Released to Chase Ring After our Next Loss?

The man has been a total class act since the moment he arrived. Oldest mf on the team and consistently outworks almost every other player. A true leader who actually backs up his **** on the field unlike most.

He deserves a chance to compete in January. This is good. Hopefully he returns the favor and re-signs with Miami in the offseason to help bring along a young DL or two from the 2025 draft class. As long as he doesn’t sign with the Bills I’ll be rooting him on to win a SB even if that does lead to retirement.

You can’t cut him.

You already passed on a draft pick.

If he signs with a new team and wins a Super Bowl, that’s adding insult to injury.

Plus, it’s a cheap way to chase a ring.

No life boats, we’re all going down with the ship.

The front office, sold the notion Miami would take him to another Superbowl.

I normally would totally agree with your stance, but in this case the team didn't come close to holding up their end of the deal. He never woulda signed here if he knew we would miss the playoffs.

If he wants to go, let him go, he's been amazing this year and deserves to chase a ring like he intended.

The Dolphins run a Make a Wish foundation, not a football franchise. “I wish I could not practice all summer, but still get paid millions to not perform during the season.”- wish granted. “I wish I could hold on to my job as GM forever despite drafting terribly and handing out bad contracts .” - wish granted. “I wish I could sign to play for the Dolphins and then get cut after another disastrous collapse and go to a good team before the playoffs.” - wish granted. “I wish I could get a head coaching job with no experience leading men or calling plays and NFL water boy is the most impressive thing on my resume.” - wish granted.
I loved this. All true.

Bravo.

I hear ya and CC has been a stellar presence.

It just seems cheap to try and find a new team in-season.

I’ll release him under one stipulation, he can’t sign with an AFC team.

How can you enforce stipulations on a guy who is released? And why not with an AFC team? In case we face them in the playoffs?? 🤣

I never like the ring chasing in any sport when it’s done like this, but the big man is 38 and more than paid his dues. I say go for it. Now…we should have traded him for a late round pick to a DT needy team when we had the chance.
