Campbell to be Released to Chase Ring After our Next Loss?

All I can think about this morning, is if Grier stays, will he waste any draft picks trading for "past their prime" big names?

It's definitely in the cards, just from a ticket sales standpoint alone.

Devante Adams comes to mind or maybe Darius Slay, I can see Rosemen fleecing Grier again. Cooper Kupp is old and always injured, he's in contention.

Or maybe he decides to double down on his own underperforming guys like giving Holland 15 million a year and Eichenburg 8 million a year and waste all of our cap on these clowns.
it is concerning just thinking about it makes me nervous

i remember when I cared. Now I just read the comments and laugh at those still holding on to hope.

This team will never win a superbowl with Chris Grier at GM. Not even going to waste my time until that changes. This is the first year in my life I have voluntarily not watched games or stopped watching half way through. This team as constructed is awful to watch.

Would hate to make the playoffs this year, killing our draft position, which will inevitably end with a wildcard ass whooping by a competently built team.

So we should have dealt him to the Ravens at the deadline and taken the pick....

Yeah Baltimore offered a 5th and the 49ers offered a 4th leading up to the trade deadline, would've been nice to have that 4th.

That 4th rounder would’ve been quite useful to use as a trade up asset for those kate third round picks. As it stands now we are going to have about 50 picks between our second and third selections.

It’s especially disheartening when you also realize SFs 4th rounder is likely going to be in the middle of the round and not at the end of the round. You’re talking about picks 115 or so. Thats not nothing.

I like Campbell

But, ok, bye

Ain’t winning with him or without him
Don’t matter

1. I don’t expect Grier to say.

2. If he miraculously does stay, he won’t have carte blanche to do whatever he wants.

Don’t expect anything major to happen this off season, if he stays. The biggest news will be departures, not acquisitions.

I put Griers odds at staying at 50/50. Which is a worry that none of us at this stage should still have to endure.

That's why, I consider Grier keeping his job in 2025 as unacceptable and a complete insult to the intelligence of the fanbase and basicly a giant "**** you, **** your money, **** the years you've invested in this team" by Stephen Ross.

It's unforgivable and just cause to never root for the franchise again, as long as Ross owns it.

I agree. Stephen Ross will NEVER hold a Lombardi.

Out of the Ross, McDaniel, Grier trio, McDaniel is the only one with any real value.

If I had to keep one, it’s MM.

If I had to keep two, Ross is the first off the ship.

I don't see a world where McDaniel says if we bring in a new GM, but I do think if you gave McDaniel a dominant Oline, one where the team can heavily rely on the running game (much like SF, when McCaffery had just arrived) he would thrive.

Having an awful oline really prevents McDaniel from calling the offense the way it should be run. He's having to rely on screens to supplement the running games woes, it takes calling play-action passes out of the equation becuase defenses don't fear the run and can get to the QB before the fake hand-off is even completed. Instead he has to rely on quick timing based passes that become so easy to predict, it makes opposing defensive coordinators lives pretty easy.

McDaniel was just too inexperienced to be paired with a GM that basicly has no vision on how a roster should look and just sits in his office doing only what the coach suggests.

It's like having a cook, straight out of culinary school, walking into his first kitchen and telling the executive chef what should be on the menu.

As long as you QB is mediocre, nothing else matters. Unless Campbell can also throw passes and not choke vs good teams.
Don’t see how your response about the QB has anything to do with this thread
It’s about Campbell not Tua

Go post that bullshit in the 500 other Tua threads

Let him go if we lose. He deserves better. Hopefully he’ll be thankful and return next year for cheap again and run it back. I know he’ll be 40 but he’s still playing at a high level. I’d also consider him a borderline hall of famer and another year could be what gets him in for sure.
