Doubt their NFL team would allow them the risk of getting hurt.
Why would the player want to play that much football?got to rest.

those are also guys that will rarely ever see the field in Pre-season. It helps develop young talent by getting them game time experience so they have a better chance of making a roster.

Prime example for ya. Clint Stoerner was horrible in NFLE, and in turn got a grand total of 5 minutes to play in pre-season.

Another example would be Jake Dellomme/Kurt Warner. Both did great, and got their chance in the NFL.
