Can anyone tell me why we didn't pick up Brad Smith from the Jets?

If Brad Smith was available why didn't we try and go after him rather then let the Bills pick him up? I guess it's just the same old tune... Front office and coaches letting every other team grab good quality players while we try and go for 3rd, 4th string type players or players not even good enough to make their team squad.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Get ready for 2-14 season.
 
I would welcome a 2-14 season, and be able to get Luck next year. One real bad season for 10 years of playoffs. I would just love it.
 
Can we have people with intellect be new to this site as opposed to what we've had so far this year?

Brad Smith is a 4th or 5th string player....great post, well done sir, lol!
 
He's going to be a QB for the Bills, and he's going to suck.

cause we have 5 wise receivers that are either better than him or have a brighter future than Brad Smith
 
Mostly because he was moreso a product of Mike westhoffs system than he was a monster in the return game. I asked Jets fans a while back if they thought he would be resigned or not, and they said no simply because Brad Smith was very replaceable because they can essentially plug anyone into that system and make them look good (Justin Miller).
 
Isnt his total contract with the Bills like 15 million. I sure as hell wouldnt pay that for him IMO.
