Can Clay be stopped?

Another young player making the most out of an opportunity, much like Nolan Carroll and Sam Brenner. If anyone predicted this kind of play from Clay is a straight up liar. Clay has exceeded all expectations and good on him.

Hah, This was my analysis on Clay when he got the nod as our starting TE:

"i think the predictions are pretty good. For some reason I feel pretty good about Clay getting his shot at consistent playing time. This is his chance to shine, so he better make the most of it. His production during his limited role the past 2 seasons has been pretty good. 34 rec. 445 yards, 13.1 yards per catch and 5 TD's on a team that has only had 33 passing touchdowns since 2011. That means he scored a td in close to 1 out of every 7 catches and scored about 15% of the Dolphins' passing touchdowns while being in a limited role with Fasano on the team taking 1st team reps. If he is able to record what he did in his 2 first seasons this season after seeing his production increase by 100% then I'll take it. He's also 24 years old, so his maturity is only going to grow the more snaps he gets.

Now, I'm not saying that Clay is going to be a seam-busting all-pro TE all of a sudden. There is a lot of growth and a hell of a lot of consistency needed to get to where he needs to be to help this team out in a significant way. I'm not sure if Clay's ceiling is as high as Keller's was, but we are sure as hell going to find out this season. Worst case scenario (barring injury of course) is 35 catches 450 yards, 4-5 TD's as a #1 TE option. Considering what he has done in the past, that's totally doable."

He has definitely exceeded my expectations. He's had some great production. He has a long way to go with consistency though, but he has been a baller.

His current stats look as such:
53 Rec, 581 yds, 4 TDs.

Clay has balled. He had some drops early in the year but he has really stepped up bigtime and made the best of his opportunity. The kids got skills. He fights hard for every yard.

Clay is a badass! It's funny because after seeing clay in preseason I swear I thought the coaching staff wasn't too high on him after he left so many plays on the field. I forget which preseason game this was but Clay looked awful and now seeing how he has developed you can't help but to be excited! Now just imagine if we had a big redzone threat TE to pair up with Clay..

Both he and Hartline entered the game with 9 receiving TD's even though Hartline is 2 years older. Clay just passed him up 11-10.

I remember back in the day when Clayton and duper used to compete for team honors. Competition made them both better.

And this is no knock on Hartline. He is having career year despite getting paid a contract that many felt was to much. He continues to improve just like clay

Actually they are:

60 Rec, 679 yards, 6 TDs.

It's so nice to see our guys break tackles and make plays. It seems like it's been years since we've seen this. Clay has arrived folks. He's a beast.

You were too conservative in your prediction. He's a lot better than I expected and his confidence is growing. He makes Ireland look rather brilliant as a late round draft pick.

Keller who?

I need a sig. Mind if i use this?

When we first saw clay, the last few games of sparanos tenure,he made some awesome catches and a few big plays.I thought where has this dude been hiding and why hasn't he been on the field all year.Last season I was expecting big production from him,but he didn't show much.Every game this year he is making those catches and a few big plays has turned into a big play or two every game.He deserves BIG PLAY CLAY as his title.
