I remember you being very excited about Pep in the offseason and preseason, two games is enough to turn you around?
That's correct, I wrote a few training camp reports, and expressed some very high expectations for us this year in the process. Culpepper looked impressive then, and that's why I was lead to believe he would make our offesne stronger.....
Today, unfortunately I can't say the same thing about him. He's looked terrible, and everyone knows it. They're even talking about it on every single football program / radio show in the country. It's impossible to deny that Culpepper isn't getting the job done right now....
If that means we have to give Harrington a chance, then so be it. We can't continue losing games just so Culpepper can "find himself" suddenly. He's a pro, and either he has what it takes, or he doesn't....
I always thought that Harrington would be starting if Culpepper experienced any setbacks in his return. Well, I think it's safe to say he's struggling much more than anyone anticipated right now. Whether or not that is grounds for benching, we can't decided, it's not up to us, but anymore of those kinds of performances from Culpepper, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Harrington get his chance.....
I would also like to say something else. I'm a die hard Phinz fan, and I want what's best for this team just like everyone else. I don't have personal ties to any one player on this team, and I certainly don't have any shame in throwing a player under the bus when they deserve it. I've been a Phinz fan long before Culpepper came here, and I'll remain one long after he's gone. I want him to succeed, but of he can't, what good is he??....
Call me whatever you want, a flip-flopper, a disloyal fan, whatever. I just want this team to turn things around, and start winning some football games...
PHINZ RULE!!!!!
