Can David Boston Return To Probowl Form?

If you think steroids had nothing to do with his success, your kidding yourself, and need to study up on the real effects of steroids. I am not saying that if he stays healthy, he cant have success, but I dont think he will ever regain the 2 successful seasons that he had 4 years ago.

Every time we see him in Camp he is impressing everyone. Who knows if he'll ever make it on the field.

I dont think Boston has to return to ProBowl form. Boston needs to stay healthy and start taking some of the defense away from Chambers and Randy M (Ronnie B should help). Those two are studs and will be for quite some time, especially if they can get a decent QB to throw to them. They have as much proBowl potential as any two players at there postion.

IMHO, he'll be a non-factor guy or a stud. he'll be at the bottom play of this team or on the edge...if he plays,he'll dominate, there's the IF

steroids would not benefit a wide receiver as much. Sure they would help. But receivers do not need 50 pounds of muscle. Speed is much more important. If you have that much muscle then it will slow you down. I know because when I gained 10 pounds of muscle i slowed down a lot. David Boston has always been fast. But having that much muscle really slows you down and fatigues you(since you are pulling a lot more weight).

He has ALL the tools, the question is how much of those were because of performance enhancers?

I would say the steroids and the bodybuilding are what sidetracked his career.

i agree.... I think david boston could have had a better career if he never took steroids.

That argument is possible, but steroids does much more than just help you put on weight. It enhances nearly all physical skills needed for athletes. I think it made him a player he wouldnt have been without it, much like Bonds.

Boston may actually stay more healthy OFF steroids. One of the things steroids do is strengthen muscle without strengthening tendons and ligaments as much, so the table is set for the muscles to overpower the tendons and ligaments and cause injuries such as his patellar tendon tear. OFF steroids he could regain his form, ironically.

the damage done could take much longer than a year.

MAN I MUST BE ONE OF THE FEW THAT THINK THIS GUY CAN TURN IT AROUND I JUST HAVE FAITH IN D-BO I THINK SABAN WILL MAKE HIM A BETTER PLAYER ON AND OFF THE FIELD. :cooldude:

Given his history with us...I'd say when he plays for us, then I'll believe it...He has tremendous potential...but never has done it here.

the beauty of having him on the team, is that we arent expecting him to be a Pro Bowler. he is probably gonna be a #3 WR. he'll be fine

I just don't see him being a probowler due to our system. Just like Chambers, he has the talent but not the offensive system to get him the ball. And if we have Ronnie B and Ricky we are probably going to stick 60% run and 40% pass anyways.
