Ok, ok. Maybe I'm overreacting a bit. I understand that a touchdown against backups, late in an early preseason game, does not make for a season. It doesn't even make for a secured spot on the 53-man roster. Still, you have to admit that Ernest Wilford's third-quarter touchdown jaunt against the Jacksonville Jaguars makes the Miami Dolphins' experiment at tight end seem like it will pay big dividends.

Can Wilford challenge for "Comeback Player of Year" honors?

He needs a lot of work on blocking before he can even smell the starting line up, theres no way he out plays Fasano, and it will be hard for him to beat out D.Martin. So he really wont get much playing time, unless we have him listed as a TE and he lines up as a WR like D.Clark from indy.

He doesn't look right playing as a TE. The fact of the matter is he isn't a TE and he isn't good enough to play as a WR on our team. If he couldn't get on the field last season as a WR, that has to tell you something.
