I agree 100%. I would rather draft Weeden than Tannehill though. Weeden was a four year monster and Tannehill was a one year decent QB. Big difference IMO.

I'd have no problem with your logic OP if we weren't actually trying to sign these players. I'd have more respect if the FO came out a said we won't pursue Flynn , we're not interested in Manning, etc. It would be better for the organization too. When you actively pursue players but can't sign them it doesn " look good" . It doesn't increase the firms stock. It appears that you can't execute your plan. Where we stand now really looks like we didn't execute the "plan". Falling back on contigency plans as a habit is not a plus ... and if this group actually has a serious contingency plan isan open question.

I'd agree with you if this wasn't Ireland's 5th season here. I've see enough of Ireland. These are just excuses at this point.
