Can Ginn get a chance now?

It was his second game of his entire NFL career playing with a real quarterback.

The jets secondary is one of the best secondaries in the league.

He blew by their entire defense and made a great over the shoulder catch, making them honor the deep threat... all the Ginn haters PLEASE just give him a chance to GEL with a real quarterback who can actually get him the ball when he outruns their entire defense (unlike noodle arm pennington)

Ginn showed his playmaking potential and his amazing speed, and now that he FINALLY has a quarterback that can hit him in stride, maybe the Ginn-haters can step back a little and give him a chance to gel with Henne??? Then we will FINALLY have a deep threat...
 
Can we decide on these players over a longer period then one game?

Ginn will be real good for us and I think Henne will learn to love hitting him for 40/50 yard TD's.

I know I feel the same way but Ginn showed potential the last 2 years even with Noodle arm pennington and Cleo Lemon/John Beck lol. I just think he got way too much hate the last few weeks even though he has never played with a real quarterback until now.
 
Ginn is the man i was paraying all game to throw the ball deep EVERY SINGLE deep ball he always has 2 to 3 steps on the corner everytime!! tis not a fluke... he can outrun anyone in this league now the ball is on time and in stride... oh boy.... u just wait
 
Although I hope Ginn develops in to a deep threat, it doesn't matter who is the QB if you can't catch a ball that hits you in the hands. Its only 1 game. Lets see what happens the rest of the season.
 
I hope Ginn catches 1 of those every game. that would be awesome

but we still need a #1 WR. Ginn clearly only had 2 catches, thankfully 1 was that long bomb

we need a big play #1 WR that can be counted on for Henne. and that can run after the catch.
 
i am slowly turning the corner, because now he has a qb who could throw him the deep ball, but ginn still has a lot to work on as a wr
 
Like I said he owed us 2 (because of the game winning TD drop against Indy) and gave us one with that long TD. He still needs another 1 next game to get back to even. Then we'll see...

I saw Teddy attempt a "block" last night that any grandmother would laugh at. The kid still needs a LOT of work to be a real football player as opposed to a track act on the field. Yea, I hope he makes it but don't bet the barn...
 
Respect is earned over a period of time and not automatically bestowed because you made one catch.....

Until he proves he can actually show up every game instead of every 4 games, he still isn't number one material and a weak 2 at this point.

It depends if he can keep it up. If he starts making plays like Desean does for the Eagles (because he is a deep threat, and he has a biiig arm QB to get him the ball downfield) then I will be a very, very happy man. But don't dub him as what we all want him to be yet. We all thought after his crazy catch VS the Jets last year too that he was going to be dominant from there on. His play dropped off since then, but maybe this is the point in this season that all those reports we heard from the offseason about him begin to come true. Henne is the guy bringing this things out of him.
 
Ginn is too short and skinny to be a big play #1 WR

If we can grab Dwyane Bowe or something to be our #1, then have Ginn at #2, we can be good

With a real Qb?? What do you think Pennington was. He threw probably one of the easiest balls to catch for a wide receiver. And one game out of 5 will not stop people from not wanting someone better. He has to show more consistantly. I will not take away anything he did from last night yeah it was a good catch one that he should make!! And one that probably saved him from going to bench .

But I think if Henne has chemistry with anyone it will be Camarillo or Bess or possibly Hartline. I think it will only be a matter of time before you see Hartline gets more playing time and moves up to a starter.
 
Deep plays only come a few times a game...it's the 10-20 yd plays that win games...and until Ginn can do that EVERY game...he'll still be nothing more than a great deceptor.
 
I talked about getting Ginn off our team after he dropped that ball against the Colts.

I do feel way less angry at him but I still argue that he is paid to catch footballs. That's it, that's all he does all day every day. And he is played BIG $ to catch footballs.

But I will admit that play did whet my appetite. Now Ginn needs to learn how to be an NFL freak show for ALL of our sakes. That's all!
