Hey everyone...
I'm not always the most perceptive or knowledgeable fan when it comes to X's and O's and schemes, etc- But I have a question about the Saints Game:
It seemed to me that our first half pass rush was successful when Brees took the snap in shotgun, which I believe he did a majority of the time. Then, in the second half, the Saints CS made a change. If I recall, Brees went mostly from the center, no shotgun. This is why the pass rush 'disappeared' in the second half. Brees took the snap and got rid of the ball quick, plus, this non-shotgun formations allowed for a running game and play action. It seems to me, that the Dolphin CS failed to adjust to the Saints' changes on offense.
So, is my obeservation accurtate? What do you think? I believe this is the simplest and therefore most obvious reason for our porous defense in the second half.
Peace
