The players on our O-line just aren't good? We have had the same protection issues for 4 years now. I can't believe all these guys are whiffs. If you took Dallas Thomas, Billy Turner, Jeff Foxworthy, Jamil Douglis etc and stuck them in NE do you really think Brady would be on his back, running for his life, getting hot after every throw etc?

At at this point, it has to be the coaching / scheme - no?

Well we have what? 2 first round picks, 1 second round pick, 1 third round pick, and a high priced, often injured, fat FA as our starters and they still suck! Yet the Pats sign 5 random dudes, go against Buffalo and Brady's uniform doesn't need washed. Probably has to do with our second oline guru/HC.

I have to agree. When the pats suffer an injury on the online, they stick their version of Sam Brenner in and they don't miss a beat.

Didn't the actually stick Sam Brenner in and he played well? Or was that another one of our castoffs?

Albert has been hurt and he is out of shape. Dallas Thomas just isn't good. Jeff Fox is not an NFL starter and a poor quality backup. Turner hasn't developed and has been playing out of position. The staff needs to try Turner at OT. Douglas is still a rookie and is going to have his ups and downs. Douglas needs to be playing the position he played most in College which is LG, the Dolphins are playing him at RG because they screwed up by not finding a legit RG in the offseason. Pouncey is ok at center.

However I do find it pretty odd that other teams can put together serviceable offensive lines without spending high draft picks and loads of money. So coaching probably is at least partially to blame for the Dolphins failures on the offensive line.

Combination of an inability to find talent, an inability to develop talent, and an inability to leave guys at their best positions.

How much is also a qb's ability to see what the d is going to do at the LOS and audible accordingly. Brady seems like a master of that to me while I've never gotten that impression about Tanny.

Guys being walked back into him or simply beating their guy around the edge isn't the QB's fault. However, if a blitzer isn't picked up that could be the case.

Considering that we have the most problems on offense when the opposing team gets pressure with a 4 man rush... I'm going to go with "the OL is just bad."

He doesnt have that freedom in lazors o...he did in shermans...

We have neutered the qb

its amazing to me that if the case we just keep blowing it in the draft. So damn frustrating. Our QB takes way too much punishment - I don't know how he doesn't lose his **** over it by now.

i swear they could just get some guys named OL #1-5 and they'd keep a nice pocket for Brady.

Someone somewhere put a voodoo curse on our O-line and its lasted for years now!

And the horrible ability to look at "snapshots" of terrible play and "stances" of terrible players and see potential HOF material -- and stick with it for three years, wasting that roster space for any potential real players, years on end.
