Can McMike be lined up in the slot?

Giants did this last year when Dhani Jones was stuck into the #2 role and was not producing. Instead they went with Shockey in the slot. The Colts do this as well. Can we do it with McMike?

I don't know why they don't throw it to Ricky more in the slot. I've seen him split wide every now and then.
