Can Miami Start 4-0?

One game does not a season make. Last year we started 3-0 and we were all sky high. Let's go to Buffalo and get the same effort and a win. My trust level in this team is just not there yet, but it's a helluva start to make the Patsies whine in week 1.

The Bills game will be hell. It's going to be a grind down to the wire, IMO. If we can go up there and beat them it will certainly give this team some hope for a playoff run as early in the season as it may be. I see 3-1 more likely, but it's possible and would certainly be sweet. One game at a time. Gotta get to 2-0 before we can think 3-0 and 4-0.

I said 2-2 and would still be okay with that.

All things being equal, it was crucial that Miami be at least 1-1 in the divison heading into the bye.

I'm sorry I must have missed something. Didn't the Bills go on the road and beat the bears in Chicago?? The Bears will be the in the mix with Detroit, and GB for that division. The bears are loaded at WR and have a solid offense. Their win was nearly as sweet as ours considering it was on the road. Now we have to go up there and beat them which is something we haven't been able to do lately. The early line has the bills favored by a point. Don't see how you can see it as a easy game when we are the underdog.
Call me cautious but I will settle for 2-0.

They did with turnovers but were not impressive in doing so, as per Ditka. This game will be a big bet for me.

Gotta get to 2-0 in the division after this win. Have to believe that coaches will be overly focused in getting there.

Let's take it 1 week at a time. I want revenge in Buffalo.

Well, I think Oakland is as bad as I thought they would be. I don't get how Dennis Allen still has a job. But I don't think the Chiefs are as bad as they showed yesterday. Week 1 can be wacky.

I think the big thing is, I am now expecting them to win at least 3 of the first 4. They are good enough to do it. No excuses.

After one week we cant get our hopes up to high. We still have a tough schedule. That said, I have changed my view a bit on a few teams we will be playing this year, im curious how hey will play the next few weeks.

Like everyone mentioned above, the Bills are a big concern. They have a strong D, I don't think we will be able to run on them like we did on the pats and they will probably get to Tanny better as well. This will be a big test for our O-line. On the other side, we are facing a SOLID ground game. Our run D faces a big challenge stopping Spiller and Jackson, NE backs are nowhere near that caliber.

We have shown we can keep a top-notch passing offense in check, lets see how we hold up on the ground and in the trenches.

Looking ahead though:

KC looks a bit more beatable than I thought last week. Everyone has a bad game though, and after they play Denver next week, they will probably be hungry for a win coming in to Miami.

The Raiders, ugh. The main problem is the game is in London.....we didn't do so well there last time:(

Green Bay has problems. Yea, its one game, but their O-line looked horrible, their D line looked worst, and frankly, aside from Jordy Nelson and Eddie Lacy, I'm questioning the weapons Rodgers has at his disposal.....

I cant see us going 4-0, after GB we may be 4-1.

I think we would be able to do such if we just cut down on the turnovers we should have had at least 45 points yesterday.

I expect us to win 4 our of 6 divisional with a loss coming from Bills and Pats on the road. We looked real good yesterday and if we can clean up the garbage I think we'll be fine next week. Hell, prob even get a couple picks. After the Bills I think it does get a bit easier matchup wise.

Then the bye and a depleted Pack. I'm liking the opportunities to start hot.

I can't say enough about how huge the Pats win was. I fully expected an 0-2 start. With the Pats win in the pocket, things are looking a lot better. I still say the Bills are bad matchup for the Dolphins. Their DL will challenge the Dolphins OL a lot more. Then again, they surprised me with how solid they played against the Patriots defense. EJ is a weak link, so if OV and Wake can go beast mode on the Bills, a win is very possible.

KC, I don't really have a read on. The Dolphins will beat the Raiders in London, if for no other reason than the horrendous jet lag the Raiders will deal with.

Interesting thing about the Raiders: they play on the east coast in week 3, and they will be going directly over to London after that game and staying there for the week.

How much that will help them, I'm not sure. This week the Raiders traveled early (Thursday) to try to get their body clocks adjusted, and I'm not sure if it helped -- they lost anyway.

I think we will beat the Raiders simply because the Raiders are not very good.

What is the saying? "On any given Sunday." Sure its fun (or depressing) to speculate. Fans have that luxury.
What I hope for is for the Dolphins to win consistently enough to where it gets to the point where it is more of an expectation that they win.
Sunday was the 1st step in the right direction.

It was a great win for you guys, you should enjoy the great start and maybe you do go 4-0? but please learn from the past mistakes of looking ahead. a year ago you had a much bigger win against NE(at the time) and had 2 layups to end the season(on paper) and you lost both. You may win these next 3 games but nothing is guaranteed. Miami has proven they can play w/ NE the last 2 years, they have also proven they could lose to anyone. Enjoy this win, look forward to next week and see what happens.

save your condescending lectures for how to eat a hot dog during butt fumbles, jester.
