Can Miami Start 4-0?

yeah...you guys are gonna be amped up for sure...i havent watched your game sunday yet but i will are you guys using read option and pistol with manuel or still trying to make him play a pocket qb...where he will fail???

serious question...and if you aren't using read op and pistol yet in the opener have you heard anything about packages for that you guys have worked on in camp etc???

cause that's where i think it needs to head for you guys and miami better be prepared for it...helps that they see read op in practice ever day from our team

Against the Bears the Bills used alot of Read Option look. EJ scored on a Run as well. We also have shown CJ and Fred in Backfield alot in week one. The Read Option motion was in almost every run that we ran, even if it was a called stretch play. Also alot of Screens getting Backs on LBers. also at camp alot of Offense thru Spiller and Jackson both in Run and Pass Game.

Yo I'm sorry but do you really think that Bills players are happy to learn that the team is staying in Buffalo?

I'm not even trying to be a jerk or jazz you or anything, but for years players have complained about having to go up to Buffalo and stayed away in free agency when they've had comparable offers elsewhere.

Of course the players will have to play but you cannot tell me that players do not feed off fa emotion. And the Noise and Atmosphere at the Ralph will be insane.

Agreed..the Bills swept us last year!! If we get by them, and maybe impressively, then I think we're for real and COULD go 4-0 to start. HOWEVER, remmebr that our LB core is DEPLETED and I think the D line will be SEVERLY tested against the Bills' very good rushing attack. If the Bills get going on the ground, it's going to ba a LONG day...

I think we will beat the Bills simply because we will run the ball better this year. The Fins will get out to an early lead then come after the QB.

If I go by the Bears game. Where the Fins can find Success and alot of it is in the Screen Game (get a RB on Spikes) and the TE, we could NOT cover Bennett to save our lives.

Granted Gilmore and Williams were out and put pressure on guys that would not be matched up with Bennett trying to cover him. But that is where I see your success intially in this game.

Not worried about Bills Stopping the Run

I think Charles Clay will cause you guys fits this week. I think we will see a much different gameplan from Miami against the Bills than we saw vs New England. I also would not be surprised to see Gator Hoskins have a coming-out party.

Huge test for Ja'Wuan James this week. HUGE test. Good luck, rook.

Yeah I am worried about Clay, and really hope that Williams and Gilmore are back for Sunday.

I think where Bills will attack with their pressure packages are inside, against your OGs and C because Pouncy is still out right?

yep so the bills finally gave in with that qb...that element could definitely give us a problem this week...hell we struggle with qbs legs when we have all hands on deck in the lb core...sundays game smells like a tough one to me...especially if that bills pass rush gets hits on the qb

Yeah they did trash trying to not let him run. At Bears game it looked like he had 2 reads and move when in Pocket. Now also Every TD they scored in CHI came from the Read Option Look.

TD 1 - EJ Kept it.
TD 2 - Read Option Look EJ flipped it to Spiller for TD instead of Running.

Seems like he has alot of Run / Pass options in most plays going back to Camp. Also Unlike Bills running game last year they are employing alot of Misdirection off that Read Option Action. Again that is just based off looking at week 1 and some packages I saw at Camp.

We are 0-3 after beating Brady and facing a division opponent the next week. seems to be a trend.

2001 season: Week 4 Sun Oct 7 2001 at Mia Miami 30, New England 10
2001 season: Week 5 Sun Oct 14 2001 at NYJ NY Jets 21, Miami 17

2006 season: Week 14 Sun Dec 10 2006 at Mia Miami 21, New England 0
2006 season: Week 15 Sun Dec 17 2006 at Buf Buffalo 21, Miami 0

2013 season: Week 15 Sun Dec 15 2013 at Mia Miami 24, New England 20
2013 season: Week 16 Sun Dec 22 2013 at Buf Buffalo 19, Miami 0

To be fair, those games in Buffalo were in late December. Miami beat them up there a few season ago in the season opener even though it wasn't pretty.

sounds like all our lbs weaknesses are your guys gameplan...misdirection is gonna kill us this year...

Last week we overcame 3 turnovers, 7 missed tackles, 3 drops, 3 new LB's, 5 new guys on the OL, and a fair at best passing game. We may drop off some in some area's but, expect we will improve in others to compensate for a 2nd big win.

Also, I was impressed with the job coaches did on special teams with so many young guys. They did not miss a single tackle, and played well.

This game is easily my biggest worry of the next 3....Buffalo is built to beat Miami, but Miami has made adjustments in the off-season to combat that...

Could go either way for me...

KC...Miami's d-line is going to kill Alex Smith...that o-line in KC is hot garbage...

My buddy the Chiefs fan was telling me a couple of weeks ago, mentioned it then, that that team has MAJOR issues on the OL and receiving corps. Looks like he was more right than I thought.
