Post season!!!

I mean the offense is great, the defensive front is awesome stopping the run great Linebackers and all but can that secondary do the job!!

Will travis Daniels come out and perform!! Will jason Allen look like the next Sammy knight or brock MArion!!

im really scared that The aerial attack will do damage to miamis Secondary thus Not making the post season for a 5th year in a row!1

With our front 7, will they have to? This defense will not depend on one single unit. Look at the Patriots dynasty. They were riddled with injuries in their secondary, yet still won. Its all about the pass rush, and forcing the qb to make ill advised throws, or rushed throws. Then our "average" secondary will be more than enough considering the talent we have on the rest of the roster.

I agree with you Tone E. I don't think our secondary has too be great. As long as they are good and can keep recievers from going off, we will be okay. I think we will score around 24 points a game, and with Zach, Jason and the rest of that front 7, I don't think we give up more than 24 very often.

If you go by the starting secondary, there is a good chance. Once you go down to the 2nd string and 3rd string and 4th string, no chance.

its hard to tell......all the bombs against us have been later in the game when ATLEAST 3rd stringers are in.......i figure if its our weakest point, as well as Sabans area of expertise.....we're gonna be fine...

spoken like a true canuck:sidelol:

As I recall the NE Pats won the SB with a severly depleted secondary. They were using Troy Brown as a DB at one point. I believe our secondary will get better as the season progresses. That doesnt mean there wont be growing pains. We were spoiled for a LONG time by having Pat Surtain and Sam Madison............

Isn't it kind of funny the way things work out. A few years back people
thought we had one of the better secondaries but we didn't make the
playoffs. Now the rest of the defense seems stronger but the secondary
is weaker. I guess we will find out this season which is the better of
the two scenarios.

How much can you take from reserves giving up big plays in the preseason when our starters have only given up 3 points and 1 drive over 3 plays? I'm not too worried. JA obviously needs the preseason to learn the system and he'll be fine. The other players that got beat will either be on the end of the bench or home watching come september 7th.
