Can not possibly punt there.....

Campbell needs to get a few more years at TE coach under his belt.
I didn't like that call either. Especially with how easily Dallas was moving the ball the last few drives. There were a lot of things not to like today. How about putting a LB on Dez when the game was tied 14 -14?

To be fair it's not like it was 4th and 1. 4th and 6 I don't have a terrible problem w it. I have more of a problem with how awful our puke offense executes.

He better be asked about it in the presser. Can't wait to hear some kind of justification for it. I'm really hoping he throws Rizzi or Lazor under the bus and reveals one of them gave the suggestion.

Going for it was a must. Even if Dallas went 3 and out there, they still burn almost 2 minutes off the clock (assuming Miami keeps their timeouts). Then they're still down 10 with 4 minutes left. Abysmal decision by Campbell/Rizzi/Lazor/Philbin's ghost.

I was shocked when they were punting there.

At that point I started looking at menus trying to figure out what to get for dinner because the game becomes unwinnable at that point.

That was what sealed it for me. That and holding the cowboys on 1st and 2nd down, then they run for a first. Defense broke down.

If you have no intentions of going for it on 4th down why do that play on 3rd down in front of the sticks? Makes no sense

Can someone post as soon as someone comments about this? It's so baffling I feel like it needs a whale of an explanation

After the check down on 3rd and forever that gained like 15 yards, I thought "nice play - we now have a manageable 4th down here", and then they immediately bring the punt unit on without any hesitation - had me screaming at the TV. Why the hell would you check it down in that situation if you weren't even considering this 4th down territory?! And why are these situations so easily and quickly processed by all of us watching it on TV but our coaching staff almost NEVER is able to think it out clearly. I wish they'd pay some dude 50k/year to sit at home on his couch watching the game and they'd call him for clock-management decisions near the end of the game - it'd probably work out better.

No excuse for not going for it on 4th down.

My issue is we are down two scores with 6 minutes left. If Dan Campbell is going to talk about changing the culture, being mentally tough and playing to win, then he has to go for it in that situation. It was a gutless call to punt......
