Can Ricky and Ronnie Both rush for 1,000 Yards in a season?

It hasn't happened since 1985, when Kevin Mack and Ernest Byner ran for 1,000+ yards each for the Browns.

It'd be hard.
Ricky has four less games to work with, so he'd have to have 83 yards per game. At the same time, Ronnie's carries will decrease once Ricky returns so even though he may start strong, his yards per game will decline.

no that wont ever happen again unless they could get 1,000 yds in eight games. cause if you say they will split carries thta means that they would both get around 8 games worth of carries and against todays defenses (in the east) just not possible imo

your kidding right ?

Thanx for stopping by. Go troll the Jills board. And it's funny to me that if the Fins pose ZERO threat to the East then why do we have so many Pathetics, Jills, and even worse J-E-T-Suck fans wondering our hallowed halls. :fire: Go make sure your glass jaw Penny has yet to be lost for the season!

Certainly not this season, but if the Dolphins revert Linehans office to more run happy then i could see it.....

Behind our offensive line?

:rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

I don't know about Rushing especially this year but their total yards should be outstanding. We have stumbled onto an awesome backfield.

I wonder if one of them could play QB too?;)

No way this season. Our line is not good enough yet and Ricky will miss four games.

But I wouldn't rule it out in the future if Ricky stays with the team. In 2003, Minnesota averaged nearly 150 yards rushing per game in Linehan's offense...with running backs far less talented than what we have.

i don't see it. our OL is absolutely horrible.

however, our best rushing year in 20 years was in 2002 with ricky, when he put up almost 1900 yards. minor was second with 180 yards... so there is over 2,000 yards there between those two backs.

if it had been shared equally as far as carries, its possible. but 2002's OL was ten times better than ours, AND we ran more that year than we will this year, considering "Air Linehan" is in the office now.

Some of you guys need to make up your mind though - some are saying our WR's will all go over 1,000 yards, and some say the RB's will go over 1,000 yards.

defenitly not are you serious look at our o line..i think we'd be pretty lucky to get one rushing for 800 yards at most

I doubt it. The oline sucks. I would be suprised if either rb hit's 1000 yards. I'll be happy when one of them can have a 100 yard game.
