I like Ricky. He is great. I think he is a bit tired of the NFL in his bipolar life. I think he is back more because The dolphins made him return, to work off 8.6 million dollars. He likes pot. He likes what he puts in his body. He played great in 2005. But, he likely still smokes some weed and such.

Do I think he should not break the rules...Yes.
Is he bad for smoking up...I personally don't care one bit as a moral issue outside of thoughts on NFL rules. I think he is a good person not a bad person.

He may very well see, a way out of "being forced to play football for chump change". If he tested positive that is not quitting and likely he does not owe the 8.6 million (or at least all of it). It forces the fish to put an end to it all perhaps.

I'm not saying it was planned, but it might work out for Ricky's true wishes.
I believe "Ricky will never be FIXED or Contolled". Can you even control a person that has mental disoders? It is great getting his benifits...but when you force him to play it will not work for ever.

Can this work out well "for Ricky's true desires" is the question?
Can he get out without owing so much perhaps?

Problem is we know very little about this $8.6M and what is going on there.

No ... Ricky still owes the 8.6 million. That judgement has already been made.

We basically were willing to forgive the debt IF he returned and served out the remainder of the time on his contract.

Too bad we could not work out a deal with Denver for a 2nd rounder,,,,but hopefully the suspension will be less than a year so we can get something out of him.

denver is really stingy with their picks. In my opinion they would have never given a 2nd for Ricky.

as for the debt. im betting if the appeal isnt upheld and they hold him liable for testing positive. Mr. H is going to just write off the debt and cut him loose. I imagine Ricky will never play in the NFL after that.. because he would probably choose to not play anymore.

I don't think ricky played great last year. Unless you think running out of bounds on a consistant basis is great... then yes he was fantastic!

I don't think Ricky has any means to pay back what he owes. He probably can only pay child support and little else.

if ricky is cleared i think we'll be forced to keep him...unfortunatley this bad pub will stain his trade value......if not i think he's long gone from his football days......

I am not saying ricky was bad, he was ok to good... but great? Do great runners get flattened by DB's? Do great runners run out of bounds with under 3 minutes of the game left when protecting leads? He did this in the last two games of the season. The other team got the ball back with 50+ seconds instead of 20 or even less... If someone can confirm this I would appreciate it, because it is the truth.

its not worth looking up....the thing to look at is the guy was gone from football entirely for a year and came back a different player.

his body size and power just weren't quite there....he can/did still lay wood tho and as a matter of fact i saw a few guys limping/holding something after tackling him this year....

the thing to look at was the vision/talent he has....that is what is great about him...i was hoping to see him pack on some more weight this offseason to be a tad closer to his 2004 weight, but now who knows....

Did you watch ANY games last year?

Ricky Williams won the Titans game for us. Not to mention all his runs seem to come in to seal the deal or help us get back in a game: TD against the Raiders ate up the clock and increased the margin, TD against Falcons put us back in, TD against Titans (won the game), TD against New England kept us in, TD against Buffalo (first offensive points on our way to a great comeback), TD against the Jets put us back on top.
If a player could average over four yards per carry by "running out of bounds on a consistent basis" then teams would call toss plays all game.
