I missed this game :( first game i missed in i dont know how long

I keep reading that Henne missed Hartline on a bomb?? I duno?

Can anyone give me a visual?

ie...did hartline beat his man? was henne pressured? just a poor overthrow? what quarter? down? lol sorry i HATE missing even a single play! sh*t, i dont even blink for an extra point!

EDIT: ah crap, mods delete please!

I believe it was a playaction...henne had time and hartline had his man beat....henne overthrew hartline by a few steps....it was frustrating to watch.

first quarter, i think it was second down.

It was 3rd down I thought and Hartline torched everyone down the seam and Henne threw a rocket. I was thinking to myself theres no way theres a receiver that far down the field already. Sure enough it was thrown too hard and overshot him by 5-7 yards. I think it was early game jitters.

hartline had seperation, and henne had the arm, just went too high, good to see that arm in the meadowlands, you know it is big if you can throw there

It was closer than 5-7 yards, I feel he could have put just a touch of air under it. But Hartline did have his man toasted and if hit in-stride, he would have went in for 6.

The good news is that Henne has a strong arm, unlike our previous QB, so he will complete a deep pass everytime.

it was an 1 maybe 2 feet away from a stretched hartline... it wasn't that badly overthrown. Plus I think the wind was going in that direction, regardless, he should of completed the pass...

first road start fo Henne, made a decent throw..just a bit of adrenaline and wind could have played a factor. i think the ball wouldve been on the money had ginn been chasing it, but god knows if he would have caught it..

I think if you relook at the play, you will notice the Jets defended grad Hartline's shirt...not an obvious pull, put a slight hold...I wonder if it made the difference between a long completion or not?
I would love to see the play again, but that was my reaction as it happened.

I just watched the short cut of that play and I cant say I noticed the defender grabbing Hartline. He did tug at his shirt but it was after the pass fell incomplete. And it looked to me like the ball was about 3 yards overthrown.

Maybe I'm just a Homer..I thought watching live that the tug spoilt the timing.

Anyone got the play so that we can rewatch it?

Hartline had his man beat by a full step and the throw was long by a yard or two.

It was a great call to get the pressure off the run game when we were so backed up.

The wind which helped Field's punts probably caused Henne's pass to sail a bit.

One thing that i would like to see is Henne put a little more air under the ball. if the receiver has his man beat, it is very tough for a defender to not get called for pass interference if the receiver can get his body positioned well.
