I don't know everything about football but judging from what I saw last weekend we definitely don't have the speed to cover a receiver like Steve Smith.

What kind of coverage schemes can we use, short of constant double teams, to take him out of the game?

Please tell me there's something.

i dont know. hes my biggest concern.

i wonder if we will see yermiah bell (instead of T-Buck) on the field because of his speed

unlike the highly overrated chambers, smith actually goes up and gets the ball, and has toughness to go along with his abundance of speed, hes not afraid to go over the middle, and just flat out makes plays. he can def hurt us, there play action game scares me alot

and he gets open despite good coverage....

AHHH! why cant our guys get open?!?!?!

the only thing we have working for us is that jake isnt mobile. even in the denver game we had breakdowns in the secondary, which is why the play action scares me so much, we have youth in crowder, and youth in the secondary in bell daniels etc...along with safeties who are proven run stuffers more than center field type pass defenders, i can see them getting caught looking in the backfield if they get davis and foster going, speaking of the also have shelton and goings to pound it with...nasty

we'll prolly double cover him alot. Put a safety on him as well as a corner.

I just pray that we rush the living hell out them before Smith gets open.

I'm worried that Smith is going to open up the run for them. They have Steven Davis looking good and our run defense is OKAY but has the ability to cave on cue.

It's going to be a good game!

Steve Smith is freakin awesome considering he's barely any bigger then Welker but he plays like Moss. Yet my concern is still Julius Peppers and the Carolina Defense. We can barely block right now and this guy has got to be lickin his chops.

Right now, our corners are better than New England's. Well, at least Sam Madison is. I think Sam's done a fine job taking away the receiver he's been assigned to cover so far. With a little downfield help, hopefully he can keep Smith from getting out of control.

But if Reggie Howard ends up one on one with Smith...ugh, God help us all.
