Can someone please explain to me why WAKE isn't starting?

Or atleast in the game more? Every time Wake is in the game he makes huge plays. Our defense had absolutely NO pressure today on Brady (0 sacks today.) We put Wake in at the very end of the game in an obvious passing situation and what does he do? Get pressure and force the INT. Wake is the reason we closed out today with a win.

If he can't be a starter, at least substitute him in and out with Merling/Langford and get this guy PLAYING TIME! Can someone please send a memo to Sparano and company? Can any of the media during press conferences bring up to Sparano how well this guy is playing and ask why he isn't in the game more? :crazy:

What drives me crazy is we here at Finheaven have been pulling for this guy since the day he was signed! This guy is making big plays with the little opportunities he has and the coaching staff still isn't rewarding him with more time... AHHHH!
 
I think they are doing a GREAT job with transitioning Wake from the type of game the CFL plays to the NFL. He is still struggling with the run, so this is why he is a pass rush specialist. Look at it this way the reason he made that play was he was VERY FRESH!!! It is a mismatch!
 
i don't necessarily think that he should start RIGHT NOW but he should play a lot more...

something a lot of people don't know is that when new england came out after the fg we made to go up 1 pasqualonis dumb tail didn't even have wake in the game til the stoppage even though it was an obvious pass time and the pass rush was paramount...

the dc has got to go

Because he is a pass rushing specialist and not an every down guy. The word starter is of no importance on todays NFL defenses.They are constantly shifting guys on and off. Now if your asking why he doesn't get more reps I agree and believe he will be rewarded will some next week. Sparano loves to reward good play with playing time.

Freshness is nice, but our D had no pressure today! Something was broken. We needed to put our best pass rushers in there to try and force Brady to throw early. He had all day to throw on every pass. It took our staff until the last plays of the game to put Wake in. I can't even imagine how much easier it would've been on our D all game if Wake was in more.

This guy doesn't need to transition... he's already playing well in the NFL. 4.5 sacks in the limited LIMITED opportunities he's been given this year is amazing.

He's been playing well all year and still doesn't get the reps. He's had 4.5 sacks in very limited playing time this year and seems to get pressure every time he's in the game. Yet... we still only saw Wake at the end of the game today.

really??? sparano didn't reward wake with more reps after his 3 sack performance against the bills...
 
thats a good question, he shouldve been in the game a majority of the time because the patriots rely so heavily on the pass...ive never been one to put it all on the coaches but even a blind man can see that pasqualoni and henning both need to be let go at the end of this year, i say we promote Lee to OC and bring in Crennel to DC, both are Parcells guys and I like Crennel's pedigree with his work under Belicheck and Parcells previously...Pasq really baffles me with the lack of adjustments he makes every single week.

We hurried Brady 7-9 times and knocked him down 6. That is a lot of pressure, it is hard to get to Brady he has a quick release and that God Damn Welker working under neath!

Oh so you have a pad and check off all the players rep counts....whatever. I'm sure you don't realize every time the guys on the field. The fact remains he is not yet an every down player.

did i say that he was...check the first post...just admit that you're "sparano rewards players who make plays' was owned when i said he didn't reward wake after his 3 sack game...

he reminds me a bit of Elvis Dumervil. obviously, Dumervil received way more accolades during his collegiate career, but he was a pass-rushing specialist only early on.
