Every year there are teams in the NFL that surprise, either by being much better than expected or much worse.

A year ago, every so-called expert had the Dallas Cowboys winning the NFC East. The New York Giants and Washington Redskins were usually predicted above the Philadelphia Eagles. The experts certainly were way off there and even the most optimistic of Eagle fans probably didn't expect a playoff run, let alone a super bowl championship. And with a backup quarterback!

So, what does Miami have in common with the Eagles of 2017? Well, for one thing, a lot of young talent that can emerge. There are young players everywhere on this roster and a few like Drake and Howard have already shown signs of being excellent players.

Certainly, not saying the Dolphins are a super bowl team but if somehow the run defense is much better than expected who knows. It's not like the AFC is loaded. There is room for a surprise team. Why not Miami?

Nope. Eagles had a great OL and DL and two QB’s. I do strongly believe Miami can be a playoff team.

Miami does not need two QB (though I admit, it's like performing without a net) what needs to happen is the O-line needs to do their, job, and Tannehill needs to stay healthy which he has done continually through his career, (except for one bump that lasted way more then it should have). If those things happen, anything is possible, including Miami being an even better version of the Eagles.

Miami doesn't have Carson Wentz at QB. That is the big difference of the two teams. I know Nick Foles lead them to the Super Bowl, but they don't have the record they had without Wentz playing like an MVP most of the regular season.

No

if the o-line plays above average, if we can run the ball effectively when everyone knows we are going to run, and our defense plays lights out, yes, we have just as much chance of winning the super bowl as a handful of other teams.

Nope. Philly was a good team without a QB. Is Miami a good team? I doubt it. Too many young/new faces to know, but I can't see it in '18.

Tannehill has to play well, but the Oline is key.
