Next year, can anyone figure a way to get Phillip Rivers, a good CB, and an LT next year? Here's how i think we can do it? We trade our first rounder for Rivers. Then we trade a second and third and a second next year for a pick around the mid first. Is that fair? i dunno. If it is we take the bets ol there is. There after we try to sign clements in FA. If anyone else has a better idea then tell us. I just hope we get eveyting we need.

P.S. u guys think the bolts will take the 32nd first rounder, next year, for rivers?;)

Let's wait and see how Lemon looks before we start talking about Rivers. I wouldn't put any money on Lemon, but how would you like to have the QB we need on the roster already so we can save the draft picks?

Well since they seem to want Lemon back, we give them a first and lemon for rivers.

But seriously if you want that to happen, I think we try to give up our first round pick and a pick next year for rivers. Then we draft a LT in the second since it's supposedly deep this year. I lthink we try and draft a stud Wr in the third if one is left. Then address Cb in the lower rounds and free agency.

Altho since the LT class is deep, maybe we can draft a Wr second and then a LT in the third. It just depends on who is available and if they're a can't miss or not.

No they can't get everything they need. But, thats a good thing. The minute they try to plug all the holes in one offseason, will be the offseason they plug zero.

Best player available. No such thing as needs.

Why does anyone want Rivers? He'll cost too much and he won't start next year. We have Cleo, and will draft a QB late in the draft. We have more holes to fill and can't afford to spend that much on 1 player. Rivers would get killed behind our OL and won't have many good hands people to throw to. We need a team, not a popular QB who hasn't played and will cots too much.

Just Say NO To Phillip Rivers. Get Ferguson if he's available when we pick in the first round, draft a QB in the 2nd, AND sign a vet Free agent(Kitna)AND do whatever it takes to sign Sign Clements in FA. Do all 3 of these and we are in EXCELLENT Shape, we will have the money to do all 3, but it's easier said than done. First of all Ferguson will probably be a top 3 pick, and I still say there is No Way we get a pick that high, Also signing Clements may not be so easy either as I can see Buffalo doing whatever they can to keep him. We also need a WRand other O-line help(A LT would be GREAT but we need some major help on the inside of the line as well)

I would take another route. I would trade the first for Rivers then get 2 o-lineman from FA. We have Poole and Daniels is looking very good to me and I don't think Sam is playing bad at all. I would resign Schulters and maybe look in FA for anther saftie. I would use the #2 on o-lineman and #3 on saftie then #4 on o-line and take the best avalible with the rest. Rememberr Burger the o-lineman we got from Car I beleive he will be on the roster soon and might even get a start this year.

Actually he will be cheaper than drafting one. We won't have to pay the signing bonus SD already paid that. Not to mention their will be 5 years and only around 24 million on the contract. Throw in he has as much potential as anyone in the draft and it makes more sense to get him.

A trade for Rivers could possibly be a 1st this year and a 2nd and 4th next year, something like that probably could work. Would kinda be a good idea because you could draft a OT in the 2nd round. Would be a very intersting idea.

Don't we have another 5th round pick. I thought we traded someone for a 5th and gave SD a 6or7.

I think the reason why a lot of people would want Phillip Rivers is because they feel he would be the long term answer to our QB woes and that he would be the future of this team for many years to come. Whether that is true or not, it remains to be seen. But I agree with you, he would cost too much, we'd have to give up A LOT to get him, and whether he'd be ready to start or not for us would most likely be up in there.

He would be cheaper is what the experts was saying because the team that gets him won't be responsible for the signing bonus and he is signed to a 6 year that will still leave 5 years left. The way the contracts for rookies is going if you draft a qb he will want 15 mill signing bonus and 30 mill garunteed and probably wont sign for over 4-5 years. If it's Leinart and Rosenthal is the agent it might be 100 mill for 3 years.

i know everyone wants to find a brady or brooks but be rational...they way u guys r thinkin is how wanny screwed us.he thought a decent qb would get us through...truth is it wont. arnt u guys ready to have a new great qb.

imo, imo, imo,imo.

Rivers is the best quick fix answer. He would have had two full years NFL experience under his belt. Yes, i'm aware he doesnt get game reps, but he does get practice reps, which count for something. I guarerntee that his back-up reps as a Charger are way more effective than Lienerts (impressive..quite possibly) reps against his college (COLLEGE) teammates. Plus, dont act like Rivers was suspect as a NCAA QB, he wasnt. Look at his stats. He can come in ab=nd start from day1 and be EFFECTIVE from day one. No college QB will come in and do that next year. Roefthlessburgler (misp on purpose..lol..funny to me:) ) is the exception to the rule. I doubt anyone will ever start a pro career at QB like that kid. He walked into a great team, with a great coach, and a system that eased him into the scheme..Slowly but surely, he has become a passing threat, and not a game management threat ditacted by Cowher. al the above, as always is purely.....IMO...goodnight..oh btw.....>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If your talking about Phillip hell yeah I am. I'm not to high on drafting one because we will suffer a little till he gets worked in. I am a huge Rivers fan and I hate N.C. State. Go Heels.
