I know it is the Bucs! Josh Freeman getting his 2nd start.
Hopefully nobody runs those mouths!
I'm sure Miami will win, but at the same time i feel weird about this game!
 
I have that weird feeling too man. These guys are soaring high after a big win against GB. I don't see this as a gimme game. The Bucs still have weapons and a young QB that looked pretty good against a nice secondary up there in GB. But we have faced guys like Manning, Brees, Brady among others that have alot more firepower. This is a week that the Defense needs to make a statement.
 
The Bucs played us the toughest in the preseason.. Miami's starting offense played into the 3rd quarter, and they couldn't get a 1st down until the last drive of the 1st half.

And that's the game where Cadillac made Porter (and our defense) look ridiculous a few times. Tampa came out playing hard against us. And Leftwich with their 4th and 5th string receivers looked like Demi-Gods against our D early. Even their 3rd string TE was getting wide open early in that game.

Tampa's 4th and 5th string receivers were wide open all over the place against our starting D. Any decent QB would have had 3 TD passes in the first quarter but Leftwich was missing wide open guys

A lot more crazier things have happened than Tampa beating Miami next Sunday.
 
The fact that athletic tight ends have made us look really bad pretty much speaks for itself. I'm not taking anything for granted.
 
Do not look past Tampa Bay because of the rookie QB. That kid is smart and should not be taken lightly. This is not a default "W."
 
We couldn't cover his old man at this point.
 
Well is not that we cannot stop the tight ends. You guys are really missing the point in here. What we cannot stop is a good Quarterback and that is evident with our set of wins.

3 Wins against mediocre Quarterbacks
4 losses against great Quarterbacks.

1. Atlanta, what did we do against Ryan?
2. Chargers, what did we do against Rivers?
3. Brees, what did we do against brees? We made him look silly for 2 quarters but not 4 quarters.
4. Brady, where is his so called tight end that defeated us? Of course, Brady dismantled us pretty good.


The bucs don't have nobody at Qb so don't worry about Winslow ripping our *****. The problem that Miami has is that they cannot stop a good quarterback.

we have faced TE's that are half as talented who have burned us.

and, he burned us in pre season.

i think he is licking his chops. we are facing a motivated team thats
coming of of a much needed win with a TE who when motivated, cant be
stopped. at least not by our defense anyways.

i dont know, i am getting a real tom olivadotti vibe here. pasquolne is real
good friend of parcells and i dont see him going anywhere at seasons end
like he should. he is 85% of our defensive problem and if he is still here next
season, it will be the same thing all over, no matter WHO we draft or bring
in from free agency on defense.

The answer is no. Our D scheme allows the TE free roam in the middle of the field and in the flats.

We never jam the TE at the LOS. We rarely double the TE because our safeties are supporting our rookie corners.

So NO, winslow will have good numbers against us.

Pisses me off.
 
For all of you out there citing the preseason game as a sign of times to come I am not worried. The Dolphins said they ran the exact same defense they ran the first to preseason games and didn't set a scheme for the Bucs offense this game. It was also noted by the Dolphin coaches and by Tampa that they did scheme their offense towards what Miami's D had been running in preseason which is why they had some success.

I can see Winslow getting open for a few gains this game, but nothing that will upset the outcome of the game. I predicts fins win 26-13.
 
wow dolphins almost beat teams like the colts and the saints and yet people doubt them beating the bucs? :lol: 42-3 Dolphins epic massacre.
 
Can we cover any Tight End? The answer is no.
