Why is he kept in the pocket all the time?

I think I’ve seen a rollout once in the last few weeks…

What am I missing?

Why doesn’t he roll out and away from that crappy line and guaranteeed pressure?

Well sometimes a rollout could lead a QB right into a on coming defender and when a QB does roll out it instantly limits said QB to only throwing to that side of the field unless you have Mahomes.

Rolled him out 2 times by design vs the Saints. No idea if more would be better or not...?

They said on MNF that he is 80% when rolling to his left. Seems like we do it enough for ESPN to keep that .

I think our offense is okay at the moment. We are playing solid football. Would I like a couple more deep shots? Of course, but I can live with it if we can keep winning.

The thing that matters is that Tua seems to have a knack to make a late game drive. Even after he's made a brutal mistake he has improved on coming back and leading that next drive.

I actually wish we’d see more crossing patterns involving Gesicki and whoever is our slot WR or TE2 in that formation. I think we do see the rollouts but Tua is often able to recognize when the rollout is being taken away before getting himself into trouble.

Because our OLine can’t block worth a damn within the pocket, now you want them to be athletic enough to run and pass protect at the same time???

Tua really isn't all that mobile, he can move around of course, but mobile not really. I see kinda see Tom Brady, Kirk Cousins, Goff level mobility.

I also think he is a far better QB with proper footwork than trying to throw across his body....

Maybe they watched his last college game. And they figure that keeping him in the pocket for cracked ribs is better then rolling him out for a fractured hip.
