I know it would be a long shot, but what if we contacted them (green Bay) to let them know that we were interested? would that be against NFL rules?(i'm assuming it would be) What if we said that after the season,we would be interested? Think about it, he would be closer to Mississioppi, in a warm climate, with a great defense, and playmakers on offense. Linehan has got to be familiar with him, having come from that division. We could still draft a young QB to be groomed, but we would be instant contenders.

What do you guys think?

What would it take to get him here?

I personally feel that the lure of another ring in the next 2 years would be enough..........

Because he is one of the greatest QB's to ever play the game!

Their record this year is not his fault. He is only 35 years old.

He has at least 2-3 years of solid game left in him.

Favre's done. More importantly, Our team has gotten rid of the Wannstedt mentality of bringing in other people's legends for one last gasp.

what is the world comin too... some of you guys really need to read b4 you post.... after reading this thread... imma support "a lose your privledges to post punishment" by the mods....

Miami has a better chance at getting peyton manning , preist holmes.. champ bailey and Gates on our roster at the same time next year....... than they do at getting brett Farve.....

he is either a packer or not playing football...

 Why not bring in Johnny Unitas?

Seriously, this team doesn't need to bring in a QB that is coasting towards the end of his career. We have a vet (Gus) to mentor the younger QBs. We have a untried young Lemon to put some time into and we'll pick up a QB in the next draft. Favre is a Packer, and I think a Packer he'll retire. Remember when the Vikings tried for Marino during his final season? That made me cringe.

Why would we want him?Farve is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think Favre is done (theyve had a rash of injuries on offense: Green, Ferguson, Walker, Franks and terrible D) and yet they still score 20+ most games cause Favre can still throw it.

At the same time I think the only way an icon like Favre gets dealt is if someone coughed up a ton of picks.
