He lit the fire with the cuts last week. I may just be a forever optimist, but I think we found our coach!

Of course we can give credit to him. This is the most prepared I've seen this team this year. Even with the Seattle game. Finally had some in game adjustments, finally played to tanne's strengths with some roll outs and play calling was a lot better. Gase is the man. I was loving him at first, then I was on the fence with him but Im back in love again! Although I realize we still have 3/4 season left to go and Im sure some more heartache, today feels good!

Judging a rookie head coach with a rebuilding roster on a week by week basis (good or bad) is so so dumb

True, but today feels good don't it?

sure, but this time last week these threads were calling for him to be fired. Especially with a roster as broken as ours you can't make sweeping decisions about a rookie HC like Gase after a single game regardless of whether it is a win or loss.

We saw less individual mistakes yesterday, that made a hell of a difference.

Gase seems determined to succeed. I like how he has no problem making lineup changes or punishing players for not doing what they're supposed to be doing during the week. I've always thought coaching was an issue here but I've also thought we have players here who just aren't into this enough to succeed. Felt that way for a while. Gase looks like he's slowly curing that problem.

Let's beat Buffalo. The Rex Ryan Bills have whooped our asses every time we've played. The recipe is not good with they're strong running game and stout defensive front. We need to get out to a lead and make taylor beat us.

Zactly.

That's what I like about him too. Too many people here or around the league are scared he will lose the locker room for that kind of stuff. I say no way, you cut the scrubs or bench their asses. These guys are supposed to be professionals. You don't keep trash because your afraid to hurt their feelings. My and the issue with Gase, is his lack of Scheming, game plan, and in game adjustments and having his team prepared. But all that was fixed yesterday. Hopefully he can keep it going. But fans beware, if our starters on the o line go down, we are screwed.

Still saw a LOT of mistakes -- especially by so-called skill players.

Just had better play by the OL and some improved play by the D.

Most people on this board have no clue how a complete unit failure by the OL can shape and entire game. They just see RT17 getting crushed and then conclude (against all football logic) that he is at fault. He must be a "deer in the headlights!" It's his fault the car hit him! He should be able to have the car hit him and still carry the team! Etc. Etc. Etc.

Major stupidity. And Sunday had incredible individual failures at skill positions on pressure plays. Getting more game tape on Parker and he's not what everyone on this board has said. He's a 2 WR on a good team. Incredibly limited in quick twitch... which means even tho he has good size, he's not a big red zone threat. Add that in to two midgets in Stills and Landry, and UDFA at TE = big red zone problems w. receivers. Miami has a 2 WR as its supposed threat WR, and the rest of the roster stocked with possession WRs of smaller size. Red zone problems all year, I predict. Can't have dropped passes bc not enough skilled talent to overcome them.

Dropped TDs. Wow. No excuses. Parker big time drop and add this into the NE game where he misplayed the endzone pass... the man is not all that. He's had high percentage of drops on pressure plays.

He will need to earn my support - 1 game at a time. We are 2-4 and have played 1 complete game. Long way to go yet for Adam Gase.

One thing I noticed towards the end of the game, was a lot of players coming up to Gase, chest bumping him, hugging him, very enthusiastically. Like he was just one of the guys. As far as losing the locker room, that little glimpse into their postgame jubilance told me that (some?) players really like him and that losing the locker room, for now, isn't an issue. There are plenty of concerns, but for now, Gase losing the locker room I don't think should be something in the forefront of our minds.

Agreed still room for lots of improving especially from the coaching perspective plus some additional butt chewing. We have some talent but its not what I call focused talent.

the one thing that stood out to me, and it's just a nitpick...was when we were driving a few times into steelers territory, our run game was dominating...and i think it opened up the doors to run a little more play action to take shots at the endzone....instead I saw us run into a stacked box a few times and thought we had some missed opportunities there based on how effective we were on the ground...other than that though I'm very happy with what I saw from our players, coach, team as a whole

The best part of the win to me is seeing something come true that was predicted by the HC. He said it would take 6 games for the offense to really get rolling. It could have been better earlier if you consider the injury problems but finally having the starting line together, cutting the dead weight and benching under-performing players (no matter the contract) shines a light at the end of the tunnel. I see a bit of common sense in the moves. Something I rarely (if ever) saw from Philbin.
