You know , i have been thinking and I am having trouble beleiving that chris and ronnie are to blame for yesterdays loss. If my magical mind is working correctly we have . booker, boston, gillmore and welker, plus the tightends. Add this , the oline has been a huge problem for three years or so and some of these guys are being totaly beaten like a stepchild so i think chris is honestly having a drought and me just may not be the same after the hit he took. Anyways lets wait until he has a chance to finish the season out before we burn the bandwagon.
The same goes for Ronnie Brown lets wait until we can see our oline play a couple more games before we tar and feather ronnie . CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW MANY RECEIVERS THAT WE PLAY AT THE SAME TIME? IS IT 3 wr sets or 2 wr sets ? i think we should use a 4 wr set or a 3 te & a2 rb set . Anyways i am a chris chambers fan and i think he just may be strugling but we need olinemen that can play so lets focus on this week link for now.

I would like to get Boston on the field as much as the knee alows. And I agree on waiting to the end of the season to call busts.

I will lay off Ronnie Brown...he's played 8 quarters of professional football...

Chris Chambers on the other hand...

I'm sick and tired of "it is his breakout year, blahblahblah"....PRODUCE NOW!

Chris deserves it. He has been in the NFL for years.

CC is supposed to be one of the leaders of this team, rather than a player who drops way too many passes thrown in his direction.

I agree, Ronnie is a rookie its WAY too early to say hes not working out. Chambers deserves the grief, hes way too talented to disappear and he shouldnt still be having problems concentrating, he drops too many passes and he disappears way to often.

Yes Ronnie deserves a break.... but then again.. Edwards (Browns) and Caddy(TB).. both had solid games.. you can see the potential.... I just want to see the potential from Ronnie.. thats all..

As for Chris... he got a bigger signing bonus that T.O..... he's never had a 1000 yrd season.... WE as fans... after what 4 some odd seasons... can now IMO... start expecting Chris to produce. I dont care anymore about the once a year highlite real catch..
Gimme a unglamorous Marvin Harrison type season... reliable... effective.. and dependable...And Id be happy! No wonder T.O. is pissed off!

I agree. Chambers has proven NOTHING. He needs to step up and play ball. I'm tired of hearing about how good he could be. And it isn't just coming from fans. He even says it. Time to walk the walk.

I agre with you, except how you spell "weak". But in principle, I'm with you, which means I'm with Ronnie and CC until year end at least.

i think we used a 5 WR set in the red zone yesterday

Dan Lebatards column in the herald was suprinsingly good, and he hit the nail dead on... the article touches upon the CC issue~

Maybe if we could sustain a drive, Chambers could put up more stats. Instead, our defence in on the field most of the game because of so many three and outs. I didn't feel Linehan called a great game. Some of his calls were rather predictable. We have to be able to run the ball. Whether that's on the o-line or on the running backs, I'm not sure. Probably a combination of both. Having so many third and longs, gives us no chance to convert. Bottom line is the whole offence needs to play better, but I'm not going to attack Ronnie and Chris just yet. Let's give them until mid year before we decide they were a waste of money.

agreed, longer drives= more plays= more chances for CC to accumulate stats, but what gives on the plays he should make, but doesn't... that drop was pathetic... i was at the game surrounded by jet fans and they all attributed it to being intimidated by such a good cover guy that closes fast such as LAW... that could be true, but it still comes down to his concentration lapses and making the routine play... If he just made 95% of the routine catches, and about 50-60% of the great ones, we'd consider him a top 10 wr like theismann always says he is...

I don't really understand how you can compare Marvin and Chris. First off, Marvin plays with a guy that some of you may have heard of, Peyton Manning. Having him throw you balls can make an average receiver look good. Second, Indy's offensive line allows Harrison to run deeper routes. The protection holds up for longer.

Yeah, Chambers has to step up. He has to get himself open and make plays. He can't drop balls like he did on that third down last week. But don't expect him to put up Marvin Harrison type numbers where they are in entirely different situations.

Ronnie definitely needs to be given a break. It is getting rediculous. Chambers should get a bit of blame because he needs to stop dropping balls. I think people are a little too hard on him, but he does need step up already.
