Say Quinn is a target of ours if available at #9, can we still move down a couple of spots and still pick him up? Look at the teams behind us:
(10) Atlanta - Vick, Schaub
(11) San Fran - Alex Smith
(12) Buffalo - Do they still believe in #1 Losman
(13) St louis- Bulger
(14) Carolina - I think here is where Quinn would go or Jackson might try to trade up from #17.

I mean they were talking about benching Delhome during their losing streak, and for who? Chris Weinke? Theyd take Quinn in a heart beat.

not being argumentative, we need a LT more than anything. And we can move up to get Thomas or stay put and get Brown. We need to get these QB dreams out of our head.

You guys don't realize that we've had just as much trouble finding a LT in the past decade as we have a QB. we're poised to draft one right now.

If we draft Brown 9 and get possibly 1 of the 2 top centers in 2nd, it would make my draft decade.

a better question would be who would want to move up to our sport at 9?

Depends on who slides to the #9.

If Branch slides: Cinncinnati,St. Louis
If Petersen slides: Green Bay, Baltimore,Indianapolis
If Quinn slides: Carolina,Jacksonville
If Levi Brown is there: Pittsburgh
If it's Landry or Nelson: Seattle,San Diego

True, but how do you know that the coaching staff doesn't think Alabi is the answer? Nick Saban himself said at his Alabama press conference that he thinks Alabi is going to be a star in the NFL. And despite what anyone thinks of Saban, I doubt his opinion would necessarily differ greatly from Houck or Mueller.

If the Phins want to take Quinn, I think they have to take him if he's there at #9 and not try to trade down. Why? Because the farther down in the draft you go, the easier it is for teams to trade up in front of you. Say we trade down with St. Louis to stay in front of Carolina. Well, there's nothing stopping Carolina from moving up 2 or 3 spots, and it also brings teams like Jacksonville in the mix as well.

Coach Fisher of the Titans said that about Wade Smith!

We should move out of the 1st round altogether! Very little bang for the buck.

I think trading down is completely out of the question because of the spot we are in. The advantage we have is that 9 is kind of a sweet spot where someone falls into your lap.

Personally, I think that is either Brown or Quinn. Either way we win. End of story.

I'm with you to a point. I mean, we need a LT, a C AND a QB really bad.

The Phins should take a QB, a LT and a C in the first three rounds IMO.
