OK, we didn't give up a return touchdown, but when we're not even getting our kick returns to our 15 yard line on a consistent basis, that is terrible coaching.

also, get ginn off the field during kickoffs. put someone back there that wants to actually run the ball and wants to earn their job, like cobbs.

I don't think you will get many arguments right now...sure not from me...

I am glad the switched to Cobb for kickoff returns. If they hadn't, there would be a bunch of people saying that "Ginn sucks at KR". But since they did, and Cobbs had the same problem, the issue is not with the player returning the ball...it is elsewhere...and right now I believe it rests with Bonnie-may-go...

Uh....they did...and Cobbs didn't make it to the 15 either. The problem is not Ginn or Cobbs. Both were being mobbed by the time they got near the 15...

Sure, the blocking is bad, but Ginn doesnt help the return game when he doesnt try to break any tackles. Cobbs tries and breaks tackles, Ginn goes down on first contact, everytime.. and the contact can be a fingernail, ginn will still go down. Cobbs is the best choice we have at KR

Cobbs didn't do any "tackle breaking" today...he got mobbed just like Ginn...

i was at work and couldn't see the game but this **** should have been fired last year he sucks.

Bonamego is flat out not getting it done. Our kick returners looked every bit as terrified and confused as I did watching. The Dolphins literally looked like they had no idea how to set up a kick return. It was absolutely embarrassing for a professional team. The sad thing is that the Dolphins were so inept that it is clear that this will not be fixed any time soon. They are that far off.

The other issue is that the special teams cannot return OR handle coverage. That shows that this is a coaching issue. The guys do not have a clue as to what they are doing.

Bonamego has already failed. He needs to intern under a coach who knows what he is doing and then apply what he learned. Or perhaps he is just not that bright and competent. Sparano failed for not having already fired him after the special teams embarrassed us last year. And Ireland failed to get a return guy. This is an organizational failure, no mistake about it.

This is not some overreaction after one loss. This went on all of last season and this pre-season.

Our management is supposed to be detail oriented. They supposedly study and work at everything. They are looking for acorns. And they are presiding over a failure like this? Good grief, get it together guys!

im not talking just about today. Even under normal circumstances...Cobbs runs hard, Ginn does not. Cobbs can break tackles, Ginn does not...

And by the way, Sparano may be fond of Bonamego, but this isn't tiddlywinks, this is the big time. You don't hang onto buddies and cronies or your own neck is in a noose. Too much is at stake. Sparano needs to grow up and get a guy that can do his job because Bonamego sure as heck cannot. This is inexcusable.

What the heck are these guys thinking? The special teams were awful last year. The coaches should have spent every waking hour trying to figure out how to solve these issues and make sure it never happened again. And then we look worse?

I know Sparano is a young guy, but this is just poor. Where is BP in all of this? He is supposed to be the steady hand. This should never happen.

I am not kidding. Its like they had no idea how to return a kick. We already know how terrifying it is to wonder when the other team will break a return. No discipline, missed tackles, losing contain, bad fundamentals. Now we have no clue how to set up a return. Unbelievable.

Yet last year Ginn made Seattle defenders look silly on the kick return that got called back, Cobbs did not.

The special teams are clearly poorly coached. What I saw was inexcusable. Why were they continually running the ball out of the end zone when they couldn't make the 20? The blocking was pi*s poor and the coverage teams weren't any better. We had the same troubles last year and I chalked it up to poor personnel. Well I think it is pretty clear that personnel is not the only problem here.

I am with several of you other guys, Ginn just doesn't have it as a returner. He seems too hesitant or something. He just doesn't hit the gaps like a kick returner should.
