We all have a football team that we love. We know that Richie Incognito can be an idiot. We know that Martin is a sensitive guy that gets hurt by words as much as by 300+ lbs. DLinemen.

We are in the middle of an NFL season that can spiral out of control if we do not get our sh#! together. Enough about a guy that quit the team. A mention here and there is reasonable but the incesisant reports on the subject are ridiculous. I have been a Dolfan for 38yrs and I would like to see them win another SB before I die. I am going crazy with all this needless chatter.

I have learned a valuable lesson: be careful what you wish for. In this case I was wishing for a lot more Dolphins coverage, and boy did I get it.

Relax dude, this too will eventually pass. What has happened is that it has moved from being just an NFL story to a national media event that gets ratings. The public seems enthralled by it as each side selectively dangles salacious snippets to feed the media beast.
What is fascinating is that the general public are strongly supportive of Martin. He is seen as the victim. However, in the Dolphin player and fan circles, Incognito is seen as a victim while JMart is seen as the snake. The contrast between the general public versus the Dolphin fans is stark.
I am in the minority on here by continuing to see Incognito's actions as inappropriate and worthy of termination. I am shocked by the level of committed passion and loyalty that this guy has aroused. I admit that I don't understand it and have great difficulty why this thug has become the lovable bad boy who deserves another chance.

move on to what? Ireland bashing? Dolphin bashing?

thats already built in to all this mess. The mess is here to stay until the league comes down with new rules saying you cant use the N-word and have meetings a strip clubs.

this is pure entertainment to me now.

Its hard to believe its only been a little over a week since we played last, feels like 2 months.

No one wants to read this thread. They are to busy helping the media destroy the dolphins.

I agree DK. We have the rest of the season to worry about. I wish people would just STFU!

Incognito, imo is not a thug. He is a guy thats rough around the edges, not very sophisticated at all and has dealt with anger issues all his life. He is only 30 years old, his Dad is a tough as nails Vietnam vet who always advised Ritchie to stand up for himself. Ritchie does not have a filter regarding what to say and not say and how to act properly. With Miami, on the field, he's been a very good player. He's a hard worker and loves winning and has a hard time with any teammate that doesn't want it as much as he does. Yes, he's the classic bully, very loose with the big talk and it's easy to say he isn't deserving of our understanding. To me a thug is Aaron Hernandez, a guy involved in drugs, guns and violence. Call Incognito what you may but he's a far cry from an Aaron Hernandez. He's been a darn good teamate to his fellow Dolphins. In the heat of the game he's got your back. Guys that I have a ton of respect for like Hartline and Tannehill came forward to defend their Dolphin brother. So yes, he is what he is, but I don't believe there was one ounce of real malicious intent behind any of Ritchies' actions. If he offended, it was not to really inflict any harm, he just lacks knowing the proper, subtle way to get his message accross. Yes, he lacks class but keep in mind he just turned 30 years old, he's got a ton of money and he's doing much better relative to his anger issues. I haven't seen much in print that supports Incognito but he's been a very good player for my favorite team and at the very least he deserves as much understanding as Martin gets. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. One guys busts his guts for the team and the other guys turns into a scumbag rat and deserts the team. I'll take Incognito back on the team any day of the week, Martin left, he can stay gone!

This board and the things said here will have no effect at all on whether or not the Dolphins get their "sh#! together."
Do you think it will?

Cheers back at ya DK!!!!!! Man, let's just take this **** out on Tampa Bay on Monday night. Just come out dominant, execute a great gameplan mixing in some rollouts, some deep shots and bust them up with Miller running all over them. A nice 34-10 route! We can drink to that, right?

I agree 100%. The media got their soap box from this BS story. The mass PC crowd got a cause and were duped by the media as usual. Martin will get to quit, like he wanted all along, and will still get paid. The haters, like Florio, Schefter, Mando and so on, got some more ammo to continuously bash the Dolphins. While the trolls had an extravaganza.

It's time for the Dolphins to get back to football. Time to pull together and win some games. This team is still in the playoff hunt. Hopefully others step up and the offensive line can play well. Tannehill needs to become a bigger leader now and it's time for him to shut all the critics up.
