I can't remember the last time in a game where the QB wasn't running for their lives most of the game.

If I'm not mistaken, this may be the cleanest Tannehill has ever been behind an OL.

They weren't perfect. But, so far, you have enough to have a chance.

I think Tannehill and the OL will only get better and the deep ball and intermediate plays will come in bunches.

They showed some ability to run and at times got completely stuffed.

So far so good!

Completely agree. 7 hours and we only gave up one sack????? In all seriousness, it was a really nice showing even with all the momentum being killed with delays. The run game was solid the 2nd quarter. I liked the balance they allowed with the Run/Pass selection. Gore and Drake can do some damage behind these blockers.

I thought the pass protection was overall very good. Tannehill's pocket management was good to go with it, which is very encouraging in a lot of respects.

My one big gripe on the OL is that I don't think they are able to run block very well when the numbers aren't very favorable. I know they are built to pass protect, so I am hopeful that will help the running game, and I hope they can prove me wrong.

Speaking of Gore/Drake I think Gase is going to need to be more patient with the running game.

I know his instinct is to throw it all over the field.

But come on man! Gore is chewing them up for 5+ yards a pop and you get away from that to go to spread?

When you do that who do you think you're helping more? Your offense or the other team's defense?

Moreover, those deep plays are there because of that run action.

On 2nd and 13 with about 3 minutes remaining up by 7 should be a running play. They pass saving about a minute on the clock for the Titans. Bad play call. Maybe because Gase knows they can’t run? And needs to scheme the run game.

I don't know how he knows that 1st game out the gate? Especially, when they showed some positive run plays.

Yes and no..they gave Tannehill time and opened run lanes more often than allowing penetration.

But the false start and holding on Tunsil. The hold on Sitton...penalties are a recurring theme. Please clean that up.

But this is starting to look like the best o line in years. Tannehill looked very comfortable behind the big bacons.

Penalties aside, they did a phenomenal job with all things considered. Kept 17 relatively clean, and opened up some nice holes in the running game.

That deep ball to Stills doesn't even get attempted a few years back. I'm not used to seeing a Dolphins QB get that much time in the pocket.

Kudos. But the cleaning up on the penalties are now an expectation going forward.

They're doing much better regarding penalties. Some flags on the o-line but not nearly to the level when things are bad. The o-line is still pretty newly formed and they need more time together before they gel to the point where they think like one. Gore is 10 times better than I even hoped for. The guy is a difference maker and a game changer all rolled into one. With this o-line, Drake and Gore will be getting plenty of yards on the ground. Our pass rush wasn't getting there but we were being held all game. We'll get our share of sack. The D seemed conservative and they weren't blitzing at all, even late in the 4th quarter. But, with all the lunacy of the day we got a SWEET victory!
