Can we Stop Blitzing already....

I think its about high time we quit blitzing, WE GIVE UP A FREAKING BIG PLAY EVERYTIME WE DO, makes me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Dom Capers needs a little bashing here, i know we did well overall on Defense, but we gave up big plays at the worst times, ALL BECAUSE OF OUR CRAPPY BLITZING.

It seems like every time we send a big blitz, the opponent gets a big gain.

if we didnt blitz he would have had all day to pick us apart and when we rushed we normaly got to him befor his recievers were open so he threw the ball in the dirt hoping for miracle catches infact i think the biggest play they had was that stupid PI call on allen who was being pulled by gabriel in my opinion

I'd have to agree with you in the other 4 games but today the only time Brady did pretty good was when we didn't blitz....he's a much easier QB to contain if he doesn't have the throwing lanes..and by blitzing today it took away the throwing lanes...

We just don't have the personnel to blitz....Zach is ineffective when he does.

are you kidding? the blitz is what shutdown the pats offense today. in fact, they moved the ball 1 time and it was the drive during the end of the 3rd quarter and the start of the 4th and you know what? we played coverage on that series.

I agree with the other posters. Blitzing made Brady uncomfortable for most of the game. This is another game where the stats lie. It looks as if Harrington had a horrible game and Brady had a great game, when truth be told, Harrington had an pass that Wes Welker deflected into Asante Samuel's hands and Brady was given the ball inside the Miami 20 yard lines twice.

Last week and the entire season prior, I'd agree with you, but not today. Our linebackers continue to stink at blitzing, but Yeremiah Bell played awesome today, and our blitz and rush was pretty good, except for one bad 3rd down play in the 4th. A clear improvement from last week.

That's exactly how I feel. The prior games, I felt the same way as the original post, but today I felt much better about our blitzing.
