Perhaps the most perplexing single issue this season is the failure of the Dolphins BrainTrust (I use that word loosely) to connect with the fan base and help us truly understand where this team is right now.

We were led to believe that the Dolphins are a win-now team. Many times we heard, "We're only a player or a game away from the playoffs and Super Bowl."

After that fiasco in Cincinatti Sunday night, we all know that Boston or Ricky would not have made a difference. It's hard to figure really. We wanted a great WR, we got Boston. He went down, so we got a pro bowler in Marty Booker...no loss there. We wanted to improve the line....Spielman wanted Carey, he got Carey. He wanted a good interior guard, we got James. Wanny actually got more than he bargained for on defense with Howard, Poole, Bua, Pope, and the new DL's.

Even at QB, Wanny got his beloved JayBoy back and Rick got his new stud, AJ. The only unpredictable loss was Ricky, but we didn't win with him anyway and what if he fell to injury, what then?

There are only 2 possibilities here...either they are lost in space and totally miscalculated or they simply sugar-coated this group of fecal matter and denied us the truth. If these guys would have just said this team is not a win-now team, we are in a rebuilding year and tell it like it is, I really don't think we'd be so angry right now. It's as if we've been lied to, or they just don't know what they're doing. Which is it?

Do you expect any team to hold a press conference to say "Hold on to your shorts, we're going to suck bad this year." ?

They have added players that have NFL experience but are still young. The offense may take all year to come together. Nobody and guarantee if it will happen, let alone when it will happen.

Nobody should have expected smooth sailing at the start of this year. I think the coaches, players, and fans are all surprised at how bad the offense has started. The OL was obviously not prepared to handle the blitzes that were thrown at them. I find it odd that every other team is the league is given some slack when they are rebuilding except the Dolphins.

They don't have to say we are going to suck. But they don't have to say "WE ARE CLOSE" when you aren't.

Say we are in a transistion period and are giong to try to lay a foundation or something like that.

The fact they actually think and have thought for a couple years that we are "close" shows these guys have no clue about the NFL game the way it is played today.

Oh yea, that would be inspiring. Nothing they say is going to mean anything until they win games. Until then, fans will continue to be over-sensitive about every word spoken. The only way to connect with the fan base is to win games.

Inspiring? Who wants to be inspired. Live in reality don't try to "spin" and insult the intelligence of the fans. Don't lie to the people buying tickets. Fans are more understanding than you think. They don't need smoke blown up their *** being told......"this is our year". Fans are willing to go through rebuilding if they feel it is being done right and know the payoff could be huge in a couple years.

LOL... this is really an easy concept to understand..

IF YOU DONT LIKE IT... DONT READ IT...

Sheesh.. Dr. Phil would have an orgasmn explaining this to you..

Jeep, I love you. I happen to own a Jeep, by the way. My sentiments exactly. One of the stupidest comments I have ever heard. Preaching? I guess this guy hasn't been to church in awhile.

I will have to say this,"How di you think it was not a rebuilding year?"

1. new QB
2.new RB
3. new oline
4. new wr

Yet we are not rebuilding?

ROFLMFAO! Wow easy to take offense arent we? wow now we should not read what we dont like? Hmmmmmm hello pot? this is kettle?

Oh and I go to church every Sunday. As far as Dr Phil would actually have a field day with all you that prescribe to know everything. It is a disorder. Basically yes I could ignore the selfimportant post like the one I responded to, but I chose to speek up. Dont post on a message board if you dont want a reaction. You can PM all your buddies for a private conversation or start a thread "for haters only" . Classic case of no response so respond with dont read it, yada yada yada. :roflmao:

So to really respond to the post. Name me one team that comes out at the beginning of the season or in camp and says, we are giving up this season and rebuilding? You dont say that. If you expect nothing you get nothing if the caoch opr Gm says we are rebuilding and will not win this year, you are telling a veteran defense and your offensive stars you have nop faith in the teams ability and you get it? You get nothing.

Maybe it's just been a long day.....but I'm having trouble understanding.

How would one know that he doesn't like it until he's read it?
Once he knows he doesn't like it, it's too late, He's already read it.

Or how about "WE ARE READY".It should read "WE ARE UNREADY".Even the PR man who came up with that one needs to be fired.Lets make a clean sweep of the organization.

Read the thread again, what I take exception to or YES maybe read wrong but the title to the thread is condescending to me. I dont have to hear you.
