Not saying they will interview, just searching on who the Dolphins
could be looking at. Plus other names not on this list.
To Interview other D Coordinators it has to be a promotion.
I do not know if these coaches have any ties to Sparano or Parcells.

Saints- Joe Vitt- Asst Head Coach/Linebackers
Saints- Gregg Williams- D Coordinator
Cardinals- Bill Davis- D Coordinator
Cardinals- Matt Raich- Linebackers
Chargers-Ron Rivera- D Coord
Chargers- John Pagano- Linebackers
Jets- Mike Pettine- D Coord
Jets- Bob Sutton- Senior Defensive Asst/Linebackers
Ravens- Greg Mattison- D Coord
Ravens- Vic Fangio-Linebackers
Colts- Mike Murphy-Linebackers
Dallas- Reggie Herring-Linebackers
Vikings-Leslie Frazier- Asst Head Coach/D Coord
Vikings-Fred Pagac-Linebackers

Very interesting thread. Our DC will probably come from this group...or the CFL
It might be nice to rob the Jests or the Ravens someone from their staffs!

My concern is if we're waiting for one (or more) to interview, and they turn us down, what kind of attitude will Bowles have (assuming he's 1st on the list to hire with-in) have?

You forgot Clarence Brooks. He has past ties with Miami and is the Ravens D-Line Coach. He gets my vote! Our D-Lines were phenomenal under his tutiledge!

the 3 i want from that list the most are REGGIE HERRING, GREGG WILLIAMS
and RON RIVERA.

I FIRMLY BELIEVE that if bowles is not the guy all along and they
have not just been making it look like they have been searching,
herring is the guy they are after and are waiting for the boyz season
to end.

he is known by the trifecta. his lb work has been steller. everyone
completely wrote off bobby carpenter [me included] as one of the
cowboys biggest busts ever, but he has absolutely come out of nowhere
and has been a presence since herring has been lb coach.

the tri would know better than anyone if he has the work ethic, manager
skills and x's and o's to be the DC.

GREGG WILLIAMS just may be the best DC in the biz right now. he was the
FIRST to show the nfl how to shut down the wildcat. look at the throttling
he gave the cardinals. pressure, pressure, pressure all game long and no
one ever seemed out of position. and he has been shutting down some
pretty damned good offenses since he has been in N.O. .

but, he is already a dc on one of the best teams in the nfl and we have nothing
more to offer him than what he already has. and the saints are light years
ahead of miami.

i like RON RIVERA, but he is already a dc. the tri gave bowles the asssistant
head coach title as a perk to get him from the cowpies so we cant lure him in
with that. it would just be a latteral move with nothing more to offer him and he would be leaving a MUCH superior team. so that wont happen.

so of all the guys on that list, herring stands out for all the reasons i mentioned.
