At what point can a player step into the negotiations and sort of tell his agent to get the thing done? Anybody with a brain can see that both sides have reached a bitter impasse that is making Brian look really bad. This gets him off on the wrong foot with the fans and the team, I think he should tell his agent to back off and get the thing signed. Brian Griese doesn't need the money. What he needs is a fresh start in his hometown where he can regain his confidance and his stature as a top tier NFL Quarterback. Brian needs to be a man and take control of this situation, IMO it's been handled very badly by his agent. If Orande had stepped in he'd be on the team now. In another couple of days the teams gonna show Griese the door and I won't blame them one bit. We're giving him a clean slate, a fresh start and this bull**** is inappropriate.
