With the money we saved from cutting bell and not signing Flynn/Smith, any way we make a big move and trade for Wallace?

Absolutely not. We're already in rebuild mode again, even though in my opinion we were pretty close to contending (a decent QB away)

Philbin is building the offense thru the draft. thats why we signed Gerrard for only one year. Hopefully Bells cap is to sign Anderson the pass rusher or something better then journeyman QBs.

The only Mike Wallace jeff Ireland is familiar with is the Mike Wallace from 60 Minutes.........and he won't come either!

would be a stupid move considering we need a qb , wr, RT, pass rusher

Trade down into the teens or early 20's then trade it? Or is it restricted to the teams original first rounder?

Good question.... if possible....

I'd be for it, should we trade down. He's young, proven, and seems to fit the mold we're looking for. Ideally tho, Clyde Gates pans out and we don't need him. We could use the top pick on a more pressing need. Wallace will need to be resigned to a big contract as well.

Wallace is a WR.

It is NOT Possible.

Latest you can sign a RFA to an offersheet is a Week before the draft. Steelers do not or cannot match you lose the 8th overall.

Ireland is an egotistical nfl scout/GM he wants his draft picks so I don't see this happening.

RFA tenders, you give up your team's ORIGINAL pick.

So for Wallace, it's have to be our #8 overall.
