Cardinals Interested in Pennington

Might want to change the thread title to "Cardinals interested in PENNINGTON"
 
Penny is a FA, so after March we are essentially competing for his services with everyone else. I believe he wants to be a starter, and both here and in Zona he would be offered a backup role. I am sure there will be other teams interested in Penny, and not just Zona and us.
 
If its a backup role, you would think he would be more inclined to stay here because he likes it here. But, Matt Leinart is much more likely to screw up and lose his job than Henne. If I'm him I go to whoever offers me the most money, and pray I get a shot to prove I can still play. *Knocks on wood for Henne*
 
If this report is true, I say pull the trigger.
 
Who can we get, realistically, from Arizona if this deal happens?
A big part of me feels that that it is either all bull, or that Penny will remain a Dolphin. A starting job is much more tempting than backing-up Leinart. Let's see what happens.

There won't be a deal, Pennington is a free agent. He can sign wherever he wants to.
 
Pennington is going to have a ton of opportunities to start, including possibly Arizona. He may say he wants to stay here, but he will not.
 
I don't know...I think he stays in Miami...this is where he wants to be...its possible he could get traded or released also. I do like having Thigpen...maybe move White to a WR/KR/PR player?
