How were they really ever considered a serious bidder for Manning?
 
What's pathetic is the Cards being that much OVER the cap with the current roster they have. Where's the talent? That's what happens when you mortgage a future loaded with bad contracts. You must build through the draft!

Levi Brown will have to restructure or get cut. His cap number is 18.225M....ridiculous! Kolb's is 10M (but only 1M is base salary).
 
This doesn't add up. I'm sure all the numbers are right, but why would they go out of their way to even have him fly into Arizona? Them being over 16mil, still have Kolb on the roster, the franchise tag on Campbell, LT Brown is most likely getting cut. It just doesn't add up on why and how they can sign Manning. There has to be something we don't know or thats just how the front office of the cardinals are trying to pitch to Manning, which is a bad pitch.

Our cap isnt exactly that great either and thats without a high priced qb on roster
 
All they have to do is cut or restructure Brown, which will happen soon. Kolb cut easily get cut too.
 
The details from PFT also are confused what happened to some of the carryover the Cards had but it would seem the Cards are not in great shape to offer a contract but Im sure they have a plan since they did invite Manning there.The confusing part is the data had them right at cap franchising Campbell so I would be very interested in why the data changed.
