Tue, 21 Mar 2006 13:05:04 -0800

The Arizona Cardinals have announced the team has matched the offer sheet extended to restricted free agent OG Reggie Wells by the Buffalo Bills. The team has agreed with Wells on a five-year deal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jillls What a pathetic team!!!!1 They are not even signing anyone!!!!1 Looks like the draft will adress their needs

Not signing anyone?

We've signed about 7 players. Which is more than Miami. Not that its a competition.

We signed a center on Tuesday, so losing out on Wells isnt that big a deal.

Just because we have signed young, under the radar guys who all have potential, doesnt mean we havnt signed anyone.

Center Melvin Fowler played very good last year for the Vikings and was a major part of their 8 game winning streak.

Tripplett was a huge part of the Indy defense last year. He commited to losing weight and was a force last year having his best year.

Royal is a solid young TE who is more of a blocker, but Marv and Royal both feel he can be a threat in the passing game.

QB Craig Nall has gotten rave reviews from anyone who saw the guy in camp, preseason, or the 5 or 6 games he has had limited action in. He went to NFL europe and was the leading passer. He has a powerful arm and has shown good accuracy. Another young guy who many people feel could be a solid starter. Packers still wanted him and the Vikings gave him an offer, but he came here because the starting spot is open, unlike thos places. We will see. Packers seem to develope good QB's.

SS Matt Bowen is one of the best special teams players in the NFL. He was signed because our special teams coach wanted him.

Andre Davis was supposed to be a #1 WR when he was drafted. He has not lived up to it. He had a good starty to his career, but injuries slowed him down. Right now the Bills have Evans, and three #3 WR's who have talent to be a big time player, but so far havnt done it.

Hopefully in a very QB friendly offense, these guys can put up some #'s. Craig Nall called it the "Fun and Gun". One thing we know about the Rams offense is that No Name QB's do well in it.
