Hi All
So, Ireland is out; many have clamored for this and now it is reality.
Word is right now Dawn Aponte is running the show.
And a new GM must be chosen.
It has been reported that Aponte has close ties to Mangini, maybe to Tannenbaum.
If one of those two names becomes the new GM (we are now much freer to speculate, as the position is open), what will your reaction be?
I hear Mangini is a great mind, but he was an uninspiring coach. Tannenbaum would make me sick.
Please share your reaction to either of these two choices.

NO to Tannebaum

I would not mind Brian Gaine.

I'll piss and moan when we do hire one of those clowns. But not before.
 
Tannenbaum had built the AFC's runner up for a couple of years, has Ireland ever done that? The mess Tannenbaum left behind is already tied with what Ireland was building (Jets and Fins both 8-8). I hope we don't get him but I'll take my chances with him over Ireland any day.
 
God NO!!! Who in their right mind would want failed retreads?? Tannebaum is not any better than Ireland, and Mangini failed at two places!! NO! NO! Bring in SCOTT PIOLI!!!!!
 
At least Tannebaum put together a team that went to 2 straight afc championship games. Not saying he is the right choice. I would rather have Mangini.

Wouldnt mind Apante leaving and Tannebaum being the new cap guy while Mangini picks the players.
 
I would be ok with Mangini, he is a pretty smart guy and I think he might make a good GM. There are probably other candidates that I would like better though, we will have to wait and hear what other names surface
 
I would like opinions on Tannenbaum, I hear all bad reviews from Jet state.

Aponte isn't going anywhere. She is Ross's leading consultant and one of the few he can trust at this point. Take that to the bank. However, this situation will become a nightmare if Carl Peterson becomes our GM which seems likely.
