Carey To Start At Right Tackle

Finally something that doesnt envolve the words "tv" "screwed over" or "i hate the nfl"
 
not sure if this is good news or bad news. it sounds like both guys have the ability, but their heads are up their *cough*

i remember saban saying that carey doesnt prepare well. on wed. he said that, because of penalties, they might make a change angainst the cheifs
 
Good. Stockar won't be here next year anyways with the way he's been playing.
 
So I guess that means we'll see McDougal with about 6 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter.
 
Its too early to completely give up on the line but the optimisitc thinking that Houck could just 'coach em up' and turn this crap line into a good one is starting to look like a pipe dream. We need better players on this line.

Yep. Houck has done magic in the past with mediocre olines that have played poor. Ours was just crap to being with.
 
i hate to be the pessimist, but carey has NOT been getting it done..

I am glad, This is the first demotion due to penalties, maybe the boys will get the message. OJ McDuff commented on this yesterday, said he belived Saban started out doing the right thing; ie, hopeing the squad would police itself. However, this did not happen and OJ said he though Saban waited to long to take action. I swear, if we start out with a penalty on our first play, nothing would make me happier than a time out and yank the sob out.

Exactly. We might as well find out if Vernon is a guy we can depend on in the future. Let's hope so considering the voids we already need to fill on the oline.

Actually it was just a rumour on Wednesday. The article that made it official only came out today.
