Any of our draft evaluators have a review on this guy? I've liked him for awhile don't watch a ton of auburn games but he looks the part, Cameron Wake esque build. Blew the combine away fast and strong as hell. I know I remember Tunsil giving him high praise last year which is pretty cool. Anyways hoping somebody can give me a more technical analysis of his game

The big issue with Lawson is injuries. Based on talent, I think he's a first rounder. But, he could get to Miami in the 2nd which could be interesting.

I think the team might be better served going linebacker in the first and then defensive end in R2. I would look to get either Reddick or Watt, both of whom can rush the passer. Lawson and Murphy would be two of my targets for DE in the 2nd. I thought Willis might get there, but based on his combine he will move way up.

Don't think there will be as many good options at linebacker in R2.

If we go Reddick in the 1st, then Lawson in the 2nd, I would be ecstatic. Lawson's been my draft crush for a while, learned more about his injuries and would still like to see him in our uniform, guy is a bull that doesn't get pushed back.

if we could grab this guy in the second would be awesome. guy should be a first rounder

My exact thoughts. that would be a great first 2 rounds

I really want reddick in the first as well after his combine not sure he makes it to 22 seems more and more unlikely

Ironically, Foster may have more of a chance to get to #22. If Reddick is gone, I'd look at Watt and Willis. Maybe Harris as well. Get a pass rusher and go from there.

Foster, though, would be nice if he's there.

Man, and Jordan Willis is pretty damn good himself, posted very well at the combine , 4.53 40, 6.85 3-cone, , 10-5 broad, 39-inch vertical.
Just starting to watch some of his tape, he's coming at you every play, he looks very natural rushing the passer, knows how to use his strength, and has a good amount of moves to get by his man. He looks like he could easily add weight and still be a force, what's the grade on this guy?

He'll be an ascending player. His combination of athleticism and production indicates an early, 1st-RD selection. If Miami can grab him at 22, that's a perfect scenario. Couldn't get better.

You, know someone like him and a smart FA signing like Chris Long could be a good way to provide us solid pass rushing while not breaking the bank.

If we went pass rusher first, what day 2 linebacker would you look at?

I'm not sure who would be available at 54, but Cunningham and McMillian make sense at 54 - if either is there. Anthony Walker didn't test well enough for me to think I'm getting something more similar to 2015 Anthony Walker, so I'd feel like waiting on him until the 3rd. Reddick and Watt are almost certainly off the board, but maybe teams sleep on Tyus Bowser. He'd be more of a SLB, but he'd add a lot of athleticism, and he could also rush the passer - kind of similar to Anthony Barr or Bruce Irvin, but he has more explosive power than either. Bowser missed some time with injuries, but to my knowledge, it was nothing that would cause me to knock his stock.

If you can't get a LB at 54, Duke Riley in the 3rd makes sense.

It's more likely that Carl Lawson gets over his injury troubles than it is that a lot of these guys become players as good as Carl Lawson.

Those are eye-popping numbers. I'd put him in the conversation at #22. This draft is just looking more and more loaded with quality players at edge, corner, safety, and tight end. Some good linebacker too, but that's my concern as far as who will be there in round 2.

Good list. I think Cunningham could make it to #54. Prior to the combine, I thought McMillian almost certainly would. Now, he looks to move up.

Will be interesting because I think the 2nd round is where Miami could go tight end. Hodges there would look awfully good there.
