I think this helps Carlson a lot. I thought he may have been available in the 3rd but I see him as a first day pick now.

pretty different 40 times. i have to believe that that 4.6 is either a fluke or wrong.

I was thinking the opposite. His combine times where Lineman slow which I thought was strange given what he showed on the field when he had a good QB. These time are probably more in line of a top tier TE.

I'm hoping that we draft him- big and talented, probably the best TE in the draft.

shoulda heard mayock on nfln when he kept putting carlson #1 and kept talking about him right up until he ran. was mildly amusing.

Apparently he had a parasite of some sort during the time leading up to the combine, and he lost a lot of weight and energy as a result.

Don't ask me how that happens. I doubt he was training in some third world country.

I would much rather see Kellen Davis here. I've watched every game he played last year, and the dude's a player. Watch some highlights, he know's what up. He also got time in at D-Line, not that I could see him there in the Pro's but he's used to playing with the big boys.

I prefer Brad Cottam in the 3rd round. He's an insane blocking tight end, and he's a physical freak. He's bigger, stronger, faster.. sounds like Im breaking into song.. but he's got such insane tools, I really can't wait to see him in the league.

He is also injury prone and despite all the superlatives he has never been productive. The guy never even had 200 yards receiving in any season. I hope if we invest a draft pick into a TE in the 3rd he is a bit more productive and durable than Cottam.
