so, which is better. carr has had a sh*tty OL since the day he stepped on the field. harrington's line has been better, but the teams are fairly comparative. i have to think harrington's problem is the west coast offense. carr's has to have soemthing to do with the fact that he barely has time to fart before he gets sacked.

so, a change might do both of them good. they both have arms that can make all of the throws. i would be happy giving either one a chance, but i think carr gets the edge since his stats are a shade better and he has better mobility. also, i tend to think his problem is team related whereas harrington's is mental (not grasping the offense).

getting either one would be an improvement physcially over gus. i say pick up carr, draft a rookie in the mid rounds to develop in case carr sucks in 2006.

Good topic for discussion, replacing Gus but I don't believe either of these two guys is the answer Rogue.

Carr is 5x the QB Gus is. He is a very good, underrated QB that has no supporting cast. Harrington had it a LOT better off than Carr yet he still couldn't out do him. Carr could really do something in Miami.

they may not be "the answer" but they are both more talented than gus. what are the other options? bring in another more proven vet (kitna) who you know will be ok, but nothing more. draft a rookie and start him. i say give one of these guys a chance and develop a young QB at the same time just in case.

i don't see brees or rivers as viable options. one of them gets kept by SD and the other will cost way too much (money for brees and picks to acquire rivers).

Not that i dissagree with getting Carr and him being able to do something here, him being 5x the Qb doesnt show in his stats. Exagerration is an easy thing to accomplish.

I agree. I think Carr is about the only current NFL QB that I think would be a viable option here. Our o-line would actually be an improvement for him, he'd have much better skill position players around him, and he would probably cost less than an unproven rookie 1st rounder. What's his status? Is he a FA or would we have to trade for him? What do you think it would take to get him?

Keep in mind this was an expantion team not too long ago, its not like Carr has been in a very favorable situation down here.. I think he would be much better in Miami where there would actually be talent around him..
