I don't have a link. I just saw it on ESPnews breaking news box at the bottem right corner. Pamer deserves it and I'm sure the Bengals organization and fans are thrilled to death about this. Does anybody know when his contract was up?

yeah i think he got a 6 or 7-year deal as a rookie. seems a bit premature with this extension, but just to be safe i guess

Its probably the best thing the Bengals have ever done other than drafting him and hiring Lewis.
 
they are trying to send a message to FA next year that they are no longer a "cheap" org, and that they are willing to pay good players good money.
 
Great player, franchise QB who deserves it. He and Chad Johnson have pretty good chemistry. Good for them, looks like they are going to be a contender for a while.

well, lemon will be finishing his future hall of fame career by then, so i guess we will need a new QB
 
Palmer = Franchise QB.

Him and Johnson are becoming one of my fav. duos right now. Palmer/Bengals made an amazing deal here that will benefit both sides greatly. Cincy looks like they'll be contending,
 
I had extremely high hopes for Carson Palmer going into this season (made sure I drafted him in Fantasy Football), and I knew he would be good but he even exceeded my expecations. I probably would've waited maybe another season until giving him a contract exetension, but great move by Cincinnati nonethless. I remember reading that it's also going to help their cap over the next few years as well.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but it looks like it's going to be a good thing being a Bengal for life.
 
I took him a round or 2 early in my draft and got laughed at. Since then I have had 5383238562 trade offers for him.
 
I took him in my fantasy league too, but in like the 7 round as my backup. I took Culpepper as my first pick.
 
I could've sworn last night I heard his total contract was worth like 110 million and was extended to 2014... can anyone confirm the 110 million?!?! Damn... wouldn't that make him the highest paid player of all time with maybe Vick or Manning being second?
