Casserly & Matt Willamson on Matt Flynn

yeah buddy i'm anti black qb...me one of the biggest if not the biggest supporters on this forum of cam newton as the top pick in last years draft

its because campbell has had plenty of opportunities to show he's the man long term at qb in this league and done nothing with it...campbells pretty much a known quantity at this point flynn hasn't had aywhere near the opportunities campbell has...i'll side with the potential of the unknown quantity...

i know campbells not the answer...
You play'ed right into my question... if a QB gets the chance to be the "man" as you say in a piss poor regime, a la Chad Henne... is it really that QB's fault?

In other words, I wish we could bring back Chad Henne let Sherman revive his career but the Sparano era did to Henne what the Jim Zorn/Tom Cable Era did to Campbell.

I look at the tools of each player and make my desicion based on that. Not some well he had his chance some where else nonesense... wow this message board is like a bunch of girls crying over a mirror to do their make up.

don't play the race card with me...

Why are so many people putting so much stock in what Matt Williamson said? A former scout for the Cleveland Browns, really?

There are questions about every QB, either free agent or draft choice. If the Fins move up to #1 or #2 they will wind up paying roughly the same amount of guaranteed money to Luck or RGIII as they would Flynn. Manning will cost more. And anyone saying that Philbin is not showing interest in Flynn only shows a lack of understanding of NFL rules. He cannot show any interest in Flynn, nobody can yet - so all the reports to the contrary are either false or smoke screens.

Ummmm. Casserly drafted David Carr #1 overall so I don't give a rats *** about his opinion!!! It's gonna be up to Philbin if we want Flynn. These so called experts always say the same thing " if this happens, then it's a great move, but if this happens, it's not". If Hindsight was 20/20, 32 teams would have a shot at the Super Bowl every year instead of about 8. Btw, Cambell is a bum and is definitely not an upgrade over Moore. The guy is the classic garbage time QB. He will pass for 100 yards or so in the 4 th quarter of a game when his team is down 20 pts. My buddy is a skins fan and hated him cause his stats always ended up decent in a loss because of a prevent defense. It's either Peyton or Flynn in my book!!!

He is better than Matt Moore. He might not be a top end QB but he is upper half and better than the Matt Moore types!

You know this HOW?

FLYNN is too much "hype". Now, we find he doesn't have enough arm to go deep, and isn't accurate deep apparently. This from knowledgable football people. And of course, FLYNN NEVER had to deal w/COLUMBO-CAREY, and the MIAMI "O" (PARCELLSBALL, orchestrated by HENNING/DABOLL). No sir: HE gets LSU, and GB's OL and "weapons". Let me repeat the same 2 questions that I've been asking about FLYNN from the very beginning (the questions that none of you have had the balls to answer): (1) How do you think MOORE would do in GB? And (2) How do you think FLYNN would have done in MIAMI the last 3 seasons?

As I've said for a while now, I'm not sure about Question #2 AT ALL. What it would take, for ME to rest easier, is a VERY STRONG testimonial from someone w/knowledge who has something to gain or lose--in other words, Coach PHILBIN. THAT pulls weight w/me, not lamebrained posts on an unofficial Fans' Website.

P.S.: With all the crap that MOORE had to deal with here, he still finished the #12 QB in the NFL. If there's ANY truth in PARCELLS's remark that "you are what your record says you are", then we already HAVE a very solid QB. So, we aren't DESPERATE now. Not that MIAMI shouldn't seek to upgrade: that's ALWAYS true (unless your QB is MARINO, or BRADY, or MANNING [PEYTON, ELI or ARCHIE], or ELWAY, or MONTANA, or UNITAS). But to assume that FLYNN is an upgrade, w/his small resumee, is absurd. Let him at least get a strong testimonial that matters, then we'll talk.

Because Matt Moore was an utter failure in Carolina. And this year in Miami didn't beat one decent team. Any real team he played he was poor and looked bad.

Matt Moore was a free agent last year and nobody wanted him. Miami gave him a garbage 2 year deal for no money (by quarterback standards). Flynn is a free agent now and has teams fighting over him. That says it all!

IMO the best option would be Jason Campbell; big arm, accurate, experience and mobile... he wouldn't cost nearly as much because he's under the radar, kinda like when New England got Randy Moss outta Oakland.

Seriously? We are now at Jason Campbell? Why not pull JaMarcus Russell in for a tryout while we are at it. I heard Jeff George would also like a tryout.
We already have Jason Campbell on the team, his name is Chad Henne.

We got all with Need to Know about Flynn with Our New Head Coach.....Let him make the call....

CAROLINA was a Looney Tunes factory, that had drafted V YOUNG for bigbucks, and HAD to play him, even though he was a fruitcake, and not a very good one. I/m/o, MOORE's time in CAROLINA was time wasted. But players go where the job/money is.

FLYNN has no credentials worth mentioning. He's led a pampered football life, first at LSU then at GB. How do you think that he would have done in MIAMI, w/OUR coaches (HA!), and OUR "weapons" (HA!), and most recently, COLUMBO/CAREY?

As for MOORE and money, MIAMI "lucked out". ORTON wanted $8 Million/Year. But all "football people" see what there is to be seen, and that includes MOORE's PERFORMANCE under very unfavorable conditions (a/k/a The MIAMI DOLPHINS). And NOW, MOORE will get his payday...in about 1 year, unless something happens. He DOESN'T NEED THE MIAMI DOLPHINS no mo'.

Got it now?

You must be the only person on this board, who thinks Carolina drafted Vince Young.

first of all, lets wait until free agency to see how many teams are actually fighting over matt flynn.

secondly, the only reason this scrub is a hot commodity now is because of ONE ****ING GOOD GAME!!. i promise u if he had not had 480 yds and 6 tds, something he will never come close to again, teams would not be drooling over him.

he would still get a deal somewhere, but nowhere near this hype.

As a postscript, you're too obsessed w/labels. MIAMI lost to DALLAS, N.E. II, the GIANTS and DENVER w/MOORE as the QB. But those who saw those games KNOW who cost MIAMI the loss: COLUMBO. It was most graphically illustrated by DALLAS, and most subtly illustrated by N.E.II. But to anyone knowledgable, those games, all losses by 3 points or less, should have been "W"s. On any team but a PARCELLS-type team, managed by an amateur, they WOULD have been "W"s. So would CLEVELAND, where HENNE was the QB.

MIAMI ACTUALLY BEAT all of those teams: MIAMI just didn't get the "W" it deserved. MOORE showed enough to beat them, and would have if anyone else, down to/including DONALD DUCK, was playing RT. Blame should be placed where it belongs. , HENNE's MIAMIshould've beaten CLEVELAND, and MOORE's MIAMI should have beaten DALLAS, Playoffs-calibre DENVER, and the 2 teams that are playing today, February 5, 2012...you know, in the SB, the 2 best teams in the NFL?

Got what? You made no points. Carolina had Steve Smith and 2 pro bowl caliber RB's as well as a top flight o-line and Moore was an utter failure!

Live in your bubble and believe Matt Moore is the 2nd coming. I'm not going to try and change your wrong stance

Because no backups have gotten big deals in the NFL before (Shaub, Kolb, Cassle...etc)....its JUST because of the one game. You can't be serious!

Not "labels".....REALITY! So they "deserved" the win but didn't get it??? Miami "actually" beat those teams...uh, no they actually didn't! Don't understand that logic. But whatever
