matt moore is not sexy. that is the problem. Get him a right side of the line, which is what I want if Manning comes as well, and this team will win ballgames vs. good teams.
High character, tough, work ethic types will enable our QB's to win. Not another "weapon", or big name. We need tough Mo Fo's up front. The game is won in the trenches first.

Good teams find your weakness and exploit it. Ours was the right side of our line. Any great pass rushing DE/OLB eats that up.
 
The issue with Flynn vs a rookie QB (at least from my perspective) is the FO's long term vision. Flynn would probably out perform any rookie QB not named Luck or RG III (and possibly Weeden) THIS upcoming season. However, do guys like Tannehill, Foles etc have higher ceilings in the next 2+ yrs and if so, that's the direction I'd rather see the FO take.
 
No one can ever be sure about any QBs upside. That's why so many consensus high-picks BUST!! ... & lowly picks occaisionally shine.

Even though Philbin knows Flynn's play & has an idea ... I'd say his analysis has about a 70% (max) chance of being right. Flynn doesn't even know his upside.

The NFL is so complex for a QB ... he must overcome a ton of things the NFL is trying to "overcome against his play/skills" ... that's why a good QB is so rare = you have to "WIN" in so many DIFFERENT SKILLS/SITUATIONS & all their many variations.

Just thinking of how he sounds like Matt Moore. I'm sure many here will say he could be marginally better, which is true, but the slight improvement you may get with him really wouldn't be worth the tremendous contract. Plus, Moore actually has a leg up on him, considering he did pretty well with the guys we have on offense now and all of the best players there and pretty assured to be back next year, while it shouldn't be hard to improve on the worst players there.
 
I understands ppl are scared of Flynn and are not believers.

But at some point you need to accept were not drafting Andrew luck, manning is injured and there really are no better options. Who cares where Flynn was drafted, it's done and over with.

The key here is Flynn knows the offense perfectly, and philbin knows what he can and can't do. That's what makes him worth the price IMO.

It amazes me how After all these years Mia fans still think a top 5 qb will fall into our laps. Seems like almost every qb available, every year, most Mia fans think none of them are good enough for us. I just don't get it.
 
This scenario kind of reminds me when dumbo ears contributed to the 62-7 beat down against Jacksonville in 1999. He really wasn't that great of a QB, but he looked like an all pro to Dave Pornstache.
Flynn has that monster game with 6 TD's and now he is god. We need to make sure Flynn is the right fir for our WCO system.
If he is a mistake, we will waste 3 years and another coaching staff hitching up to the wrong pony.

First of all when Moore started for Delhomme the first year he did extremely well. Went 8TD-1INT. The 2nd season he started but had a concussion his first game. That affected him alot. He finished this season with 15td- 6 or 9 Int. He threw for like 64% accuracy. He is the best QB we have had since Marino.
 
If he's like shaub, great but if he's like cassel then it's no upgrade to the posistion, Manning, will do more with less, where the other QB's need to hidden behind talented players, Manning will take the average receiver and send him to the pro bowl.
 
There isn't anything wrong with moore, but QB-ing is more than just td's it's called game management, Just like montana, you knew that the 49ers was going to give solid play from that posistion week in and week out, teams are afraid to play New England because they know that Brady is going to bring it every single game irregardless of the opponent.

Flynn is a weak armed QB and we are running a spead offense NOT a WCO.
If Flynn is forced to chuck it out of shotgun with a hurry up offense all you will see is check downs and hitch routes... in other words 3 and outs.
