I've heard on several occasions that Beck was going over game pictures, and talking with Pennington on the sidelines during games, while Henne is just off doing his own thing? You guys think Beck is trying to get that 2nd spot, or well.. not sure what else to think. Thoughts on this?

it could have been at just one point during the game, or who knows... one thing is for sure, Beck doesnt have the talent, Henne does...

Those dirty pictures of Sparano. He is Showing Penny why he still on the team.

I agree, it could have just been one incident, at one point and time, during one game. Beck will NEVER overtake Henne for that second spot. Beck could personally clean Coach Sparano's toilet for an entire year and he won't get that second spot. I liked Beck, but Henne has shown me that he has more talent, more poise, and more leadership in the huddle than Beck.

1. Chad P.
2. Chad H.
3. John. B

period lol

Alright, glad nothing is going on (hopefully).. thought something happened that I didn't know and Beck was sliding ahead of Henne, I was about to die.

Recently in one of the south Fla papers one of the blogs had commented that Henne is following Pennington around everywhere, soaking everything up he possibly can from CP. The Beck story could be true for an instance, but I'll take what I read in the blog before this random statement.
Unfortunately, I don't have a link, so you can poo-poo my memory if you want. But I'm confident in my own brain that I didn't dream it.

Beck going in front of Henne will never happen. Like mentioned above, Henne has the talent, Beck is struggling in that department. Henne was handpicked by this organization, Beck is a leftover from the previous one.

Henne looked good in the preseason and in his limited time during the Arizona game. Beck has never really looked good during any games or practices.

The only think on Beck's mind should be how he is going to return even as a #3 next year. The front office is either going to replace him or at the very least bring someone in to compete with him.

Would really like too see Henne get some playing time. Like too see him go deep a few times.

Yeah that makes more sense to me.. because I just can't see Beck studying all that stuff like he's going into the game .. because even if Chad AND.. well, Chad get hurt, they'd put Dan Carpenter in before they put Beck in

Btw Nublar .. didn't know he went in the Arizona game ..? Any particular receivers he threw to the most? And did his passes have a zip to them that Penny's don't have?

I was at the game and tried to watch the "game within the game". Beck and Pennington were definately reviewing photos often. Henne wasn't too far off and when Pennington was in the game both were reviewing the game plan. I wouldn't put much into want this means other than perhaps Beck is student of the game trying to do everything to learn, while Henne prefers is more instinctive at least during the game.

Bottom line: Both these guys are doing what good professionals need to do to become a a starter.

usually the third string qb holds the clip board and helps with relaying in plays if im not mistaken, i wouldn't read much into it. and it isn't like beck isn't a professional im sure he is doing everything in his power to improve his standing and help our team in any way he can.

this is hilarious, some you guys are already passing on Beck like he was just going to sit in let Henne Cakewalk into the starting job. Also you guys are already talking like Henne is the GUY when he hasn't play a full game.

your absolutely right.. i could care less which one succeeds as long as one of those guys becomes a great QB... although if i had a choice i would rather it be henne because hes younger but... still i dont care... i just want one or both of those guys to be GOOD!:woot:
